| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I thought that all the points presented in this movie were going to be connected at the end to make a plot... but I guess 25 minutes is just not enough. It's sad to say this but I think the plot was a little... pointless. However I have to say that I LOVED the animation in this movie, and the ending was a little sad ): Putting aside the lack of plot, I have to say I enjoyed this movie. |
| I for one liked the movie a lot, it had a sweet story and a good use of its characters. I also loved that this film was more or less focused on Aiko rather than Doremi. it felt refreshing. :) Now that I finished the movie, I watched everything this classic had to offer. well, I guess I still have Ojamajo Doremi 16. :3 |
| Since the movie was kind of like an Aiko episode, it's obviously one of the better stories in the franchise. And it's a continuation of a long forgotten backstory of Aiko's family, since this relationship was mentioned in S1 or S2 (can't remember where exactly. |

| Damn, this was borderline arthouse. Sadly the pacing was way too fast, I guess because of the young target audience they couldn't make anything significant longer than a normal episode. A real shame, even with the normal presentation this could've been among the best of the series if it had twice the runtime and properly developed all the different elements. But to see this fantastic atmospheric presentation undermined by a below average narrative (for Doremi standards at least) is especially sad. Still an 8/10 in my book but it could've been so much better. |
