| although the site does not tell, this is the first episode of the second season ... technical change is visible in the anime ... the traces were thinner and the animation has improved ... I thought this season was going to be in Paris ... sad mistake ... |
| New opening and ending. I vastly prefer the first for both, but oh well. XD Character designs seem a bit different, though only really noticeable for the three girls, Rui the most. Boy, Cat's Eye sure did stay in France for all of two minutes. XD Damnit, Hitomi blocked Toshi's return smooch! I'd say she only likes it when she kisses him, but some episodes she bemoans him not being assertive enough while others we get this...women. XD Nice of fake cats to just give up. XD They were dumbasses for not simply beating her up in the hotel room 3 on 1. But then again apparently only Hitomi can actually fight at all. If this were made today there woulda been multiple copies of those pictures, Hitomi's lucky she got duped in the 80s. XD So if Heinz is in Japan why has he never tried to see his daughters? Hmmmmmmmmm....... |

| I'm finally back on this, after a 3 year hiatus. There were no subs for the BD, but now it's finally available thanks to the wonderful people online ^^ Watching this on gorgeous BD. Animation is on point! I agree. They made the ending of S1 so emotional with Hitomi leaving Toshi, only to come back 3 weeks later. I still can't believe, they can see the imposters face and tell it right away, yet they struggle in seeing who Hitomi is. Despite having their own cafe "Cat's Eye" and seeing them all three together. But that's 80s for you. Where camera's are rare :P That blonde fake Cat's Eye was strong. Did you see her bend those metal bars!?! :O She, was able to even stand on a moving roller coaster!! She is freaking Wonder Woman XD I thought she was going to be a major player in finding out about their father, but I guess she's just a thief wanting to steal more items. We already have a similar fake Cat's Eye episode last season. No need to keep bringing them out :P Shame on what happened to Asatani. She was really a formidable opponent in the beginning of the season and now she gets her ass kick by random characters all the time. Wish she goes back to the psychopath that hunts down Cat's Eye aggressively. It's good to be back! Can't wait for the next one! |
| so they're back in Japan already?! that's fine with me hahaha :D i'm happy Hitomi and Toshi get to be together again <3 a bunch of differences between the last episode that aired in March 1984 and this episode that aired in October 1984. the animation is a little different! it's like they tried to make everyone a little prettier. i don't think they needed to do that but oh well. i'll get used to it. plus a new opening and ending! the new opening animation is great! i am gonna miss the old opening song and animation, but the new opening song and animation are pretty rad in it's own right. i think there's some new background music too? that's cool. the new Cat's Eye attire though..... they didn't need to change that. i really liked Hitomi and Rui's shoulderless suits and Ai's yellow collar. also, their sashes used to be longer. seeing their long sashes trail behind them as they ran and fought was one of my favorite details. once again, oh well hahaha :) it's too late for me now; i'm in this till the end! but damn! they're already getting close to finding their dad?! things really are moving! |
