| At the start I was worried they would drag on their stay there over multiple episodes... Glad they kept it short! It didn't need much more time than what they allotted to it - the training, that is. |

The introduction of some other concepts later on imo, makes the show richer as well as improves its rewatch value. |

I really like the color choices and art direction in general in this original adaptation. The created atmosphere feels so grim at times, but rarely completely hopeless.    |

| @utopica the art here is similar to the shadowing used in the manga that anime nowadays lack a lot of... the recent ones I could mention that do dis are boku no hero and one punch man 🔥 |

| @Berry-Vodka I really enjoy the cinematography. It's one of the strongest aspects in the 1999 version (honestly, I'm taking a lot of screenshots for myself because I like it that much) If it isn't too much work for you, show me some of those manga panels. I'm very interested. And yes. I'm always comapring this to the skies in the MHA anime, the palette of possibiltiies is endless. Which makes it so sad because it's totally reasonable to change colors accordingly to the mood. |
