| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Thus ends the time travel arc ... And mostly without anything really answered. We still don't know what the Oni are, except they are apparently part of some greater hive-mind, 'limbs' as the wizard guy said. Also, they needed to spring for a second song to play during battles, repeating the OP over and over is annoying. They could've at least made use of some of the older OPs and battle music for nostalgia. I wouldn't mind hearing the old-school Getter Robo theme as the Shin squad rips out giant monster's spinal columns via their skulls. Some awesome action at least, and the Getter One displays a dual-glaive configuration with the tomahawks. I wonder if we'll ever find out anything about the plot in this show, or if this is just a vehicle for crude humor and explosions. |
| Wouah, I wasn't foreseeing so many OAVs spend in the alternate Heian. But it was fun to see Ryôma interacting so well with a big muscled Minamoto no Raikô. As always, fun and stupidly violent action. 4/5 I can't imagine what's coming next. A return to the basic one OAV:one monster:no story ? |
| That guy Semnei has quite the arsenal of abilities doesn't he. Anyways this final battle was pretty awesome. Its going to be hard to top this for the finale of the series. But i guess will have to see what happens next. This time travel arc is over now maybe some new developments upcoming? I won't hold my breath for much plot in this show but atleast the action is pretty great with some cool animation shots. |

| My guess is that going back in time must have altered reality somehow hence why Mt. Asama is different. |
