| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- This takes way too much from other shounen manga. As far as now, it's mainly Dragon Ball (we have Son Goku, Bulma, Krillin and Muten) with a Hunter x Hunter twist (exam, starts on a ship, is life-threatening, it begins when the participants aren't even aware, also the giga-hero is the main character's dad) and some Dragon Dai thrown in (info boxes like in-depth info of stuff of the world:here, metals, there, equip and spells). It needs to find its own identity as soon as possible, I'm quickly losing faith. |

| This manga is pretty "meh". It could have been good, but it's just a mishmash of different shonen manga. According to Weekly Shonen Jump rankings it's not doing very good and if Bakuman's taught me anything about the manga industry, I bet it'll get canned in a month or two. EDIT: But I'll stick with it because I actually do enjoy cliche predictable shonen... |

I like clichés, just as long as the story isn't dumb. I'll give it time. |

Anyway, I'll keep reading because it's fun, just as shounen should be. But from reading chapter 1 and 2 I was hoping for something a little more original. We'll see how it goes on. :) |
