| What a dramatic and spectacular finale! Too bad that most of them died, but at least Teppei and Kotaro made it out alive and could return to their home. I felt that the ending was really rushed, and I'm not talking here about the battle against Raphaello and the Machine Emperor. The death of all those characters and their B'ts felt underwhelming and overly dynamic. It wouldn't hurt to extend those scenes, even if a little. I think I get the idea behind portraying them in such way, but still, I wish there were more panels dedicated to those characters. That being said, if we close our eyes on the ending's shortcomings, then this manga was fun to read in general. Good balance of action, lore info, and emotional scenes. And those designs were simply brilliant, as you'd expect from a work created by Masami Kurumada. :) |
