| Well, that was rather uneventful... I feel like this chapter's big reveal was a bit of a missed opportunity. Sengoku's involvement in the death of the president of Kajiwara Paper Mills was framed as some sort of a shocking twist, but attentive readers have already figured that out from the hints given in the previous chapter. Honestly, apart from a cool chapter cover featuring Ichinojo, a little insight into Urabe's character, and tiny bits of lore here and there (like Sengoku being ex-Minister of Shrines), there isn't really much to write home about. What I wanted to see was Toya make his move and enter the fray, but I guess we need to wait another month for that. |

GoT S1 also have a lot of politics and names that are hard to follow (for beginners) but everything had good justification and shit really hit a fan with season 1 end. Here I can see similar elements like intrigue/conspiracy, while money that "disappears" instead of being spent sounds like someone is preparing for the war. |
