So it looks like this episode wanted to give Ars and his allies/friends some fun. After all that fighting, we got some...snowball fighting.

Charlotte is the one that started this but why am I not surprised lmao

Looks Frietz has a new puppy kouhai, I wonder who's the brother he mentioned (I had someone in mind, same vibes but color hair doesn't match, so...?). Like Pham, I don't like the new faces surrounding Couran, maybe he's gonna take an eye on them just as a precaution, even Couran himself as tho he's acknowling Ars as a possible threat to his interests. And lastly, is it me or Ars is developing feelings for Charlotte? Overall a chill episode, this was the calm before the storm and oh boy it's gonna hit hard.

Felt like it, but it would be pretty odd for this show to make good on it. Like even if Ars was to lose a retainer, this show probably wouldn't foreshadow it with such a clear death flag.

Ils avaient le plus de amusant par ce jour! Ils ont construit un bonhomme de neige et ils attaqué avec neige balles.

Mireille est très impresionante!

The siege of the latest castle happened pretty quickly, faster than I thought it would take. Also, Rietz got a new trainee in the red headed young guy named Joe.

Regarding the tense scene with Couran and Ars, for a minute I thought Couran was someone else disguised as him but it looks like a couple of retainers have fed him some misinformation causing Couran to question Ars. Hopefully Couran deals with those retainers as it would be a real shame if they cause more trouble from within.

Another dominant for Ars & Couran.
Charlotte as op as ever.
I think Joe is going to be a great recruit in the future.
Nice to see everyone getting a bit of fun before the final battles ahead.

I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

The Stark of this anime turned out to be far less of a threat than I initially thought—in fact, he switched sides and is now essentially Rietz’s pet. With proper training, he might even reach Rietz's level of competence someday.

For a moment, I genuinely thought something had happened to Couran when his attitude toward Ars shifted, but it turned out to be just a test. However, Couran really needs to handle Ars' overly jealous entourage better. If he’s worried about his throne in Missian, there’s little reason for concern, Ars clearly sees it as a minor stepping stone compared to his ultimate dream of creating a world at peace.

And Charlotte? Her cold tolerance is beyond impressive—rocking a low-cut dress without showing a single shiver in that freezing environment.

I’m in love with Charlotte in ways I ain’t been in a while lmao. Such a dope character and I love her personality! The snowball fight was a well deserved reward for all the work ars and his group have put in. The show obviously goes thru things pretty quickly but they’ve taken on and overcome some insane obstacles including the most recent siege. Even Courran is like wtf at this point lmao.

Really got scared there cause I thought he would turn on Ars or do some evil shit, but looks like it was just a bluff to appease the nobles who are suspicious of Ars. Can’t really say I blame them, from the outside it would def seem like Ars is currying favor with Courran to make a power play. But we know our boy just wants to take care of his people and ensure a peaceful world. The people who crave power and leadership the least are the ones best suited to it so I imagine Ars will one day be emperor.

I thought Joe was gonna be an annoying character, but dudes actually pretty funny and now Rietz got himself a little disciple lmao. Nice break in the action, excited to see how the next few eps go.

It was good seeing Ars’ army take a breather after taking the Castle Staatz. Seeing Reitz dismantle Braham Joe was hilarious, and he fell in line so quickly after being easily defeated. I can't wait to see how Reitz can bring the best out of him with his training. I’m sure he’ll become yet another formidable retainer. I didn't like the part where Lord Curran questioned Ars’ loyalty, but I guess it was necessary to appease his retainers. Still, I didn't like it one bit. Thankfully, it was all overshadowed by seeing his army having fun and enjoying some downtime in the snow. It added a moment of levity in a time of war. It was a great episode overall. I can't wait to see how they finish this season.

5/5, I thought they would surrender faster but this episode was adorable!!!
New guy seems incompetent at present time, but has great potential.
I doubt head-honcho cares as long as Ars is good, like what does it matter who's at throne as long as protects the people. I'm a little sad because wanted the response of Ars saying he got isekai'd, but that's completely irrelevant and he gave proper answer.
My main question is, can't Ars see detailed information now? Shouldn't he be able to tell if actually would consider taking Ars's head? Regardless is not a smart move since taking Ars out means have to deal with a brand new war.

I enjoyed this episode. The actual war scenes had less screen time, which was a good decision since they’ve always been the show’s weak point. Keeping them brief allowed more time for other aspects of the story.

However, there were quite a few "PowerPoint presentation" moments, which wasn’t very appealing.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, that seems highly unlikely.

Lord Basamark could be the one to die in the show. It’s a possibility.

Wow, the last scene had more animation than most of the episode. They run out of budget between last week and this week? A couple laughs and a new character, who will probably fall head-over-heels for Mireille as soon as they meet. I appreciate Charlotte getting another moment to shine.

Still borderline slideshow. Almost unwatchable for me.

Ars and Clamant's ambush on Castle Staatz was swift and decisive, except that the 17-year-old brat of Braham Joe wants some action against Rietz, which quickly becomes a sparring lesson on the level of hilarity, and Ars playing along with the joke,,,certainly sees Joe as more of a pet being commanded by its master, plus the soldiers being frightened just by seeing Mireille on site. All in all, it's an easy takeover of Castle Staatz in the most unexpected way possible.

As Winter falls, and for the first time in a long while, Ars getting his Appraisal ability tested in front of his close retainers, it defintely was a close shave to escape death, as much as people have a love-hate relationship of Ars. And then comes the snowball fight, which as random as it seems with Charlotte clearly starting the fiasco, everyone has some time of fun and rest.

The sibling rivalry between Thomas and Mireille with the former always getting beaten, what does Vasmarque have for him that would change the tide?
