What if Junji Itou's Remina got an anime adaptation?

It has its flaws, including the finale, but it's a great underrated story out of his few long stories.
I often forget of its flaws whenever I compare it to being far better than Uzumaki in my mind in some aspects, but I always remember it fondly as my first long story after Tomie and over thirty Itou one-shots at that time.
Now I read practically all of Itou's works, except for his very latest, etc.

Her fans and the president are tasteless in a obnoxious disgusting way, the ending and her savior are disappointing and ridiculous, while the plot itself lacks reason, but practically all of Itou's work lacks reasoning to comprehension, so whatever.

What I love about this manga from Itou, is how it's entertaining in its chaos of people panicking and going mad, with everyone trying to kill Remina, her own grief, the destruction of planets, people flying from less gravity, and all of its insanity. It is epic and dramatic in a fascinating way.

It's one of, if not, Itou's best portrayal of that, so I would love to see that animated.
Even better if it's in high quality production throughout every episode unlike every other Junji Itou Anime Adaptation.

Would be cool, maybe as a movie, but it has to be done properly, it has a lot of movement so it’s kinda difficult for the standard of Junji Ito’s works adaptations

^ I agree. I really don't think all the movement will be done properly in the anime, but who knows? Maybe a good budget would make it work.

I just don't think they can make a good adaptation out of any junji itos stories, like gyo is pretty bad and uzumaki had only one good episode.

I think they just need to leave it alone ngl, like the planet will probably have some horrible CGI

Remina is probably his most 'adaptable' story because it has a pretty straightforward plot and the visuals aren't THAT horrifyingly crazy (i mean they are, but less compared to his other works). I still wouldn't trust a Remina anime adaptation though, it's been unfortunately proven time and time again that the Junji Ito anime curse is very real.

Yeah, unfortunately all of his anime adaptations were of restricted quality,
but this is a optimistic scenario, exactly because all of his anime were "cheap" in production.

... Let's all assume, out of his few last anime adaptations left to do, at its best, how good can Remina be?

I think it could be awesome.
From the mass of people in terror going insane, to the grand destruction of earth. It would be epic to see animated.

I wouldn't mind seeing some adaptations remade to the high quality they deserve, but that probably will never happen.
Worse is how Netflix oddly didn't full improve with Maniac from the Collection, and even worse, how Uzumaki was downgraded for several reasons.

But, with a few adaptations left, with a few more potentially to come off his new work. I'm still hoping for better adaptations.

Albeit not perfect, I actually loved Collection for what it was, at least, and Maniac had some good episodes.
The rest were unfortunately ruined one way or another.
Tomie was okay, but there's a lot left to her full introduction.

I'd love to see Remina and Tomie's full story animated.

at this point it’s better to leave any junji ito works where there at and not give them an adaption

I'm not sure people are voting as I intended...
I wrote the question: "Would a Remina Anime be Good?", but, to be clear, I meant, assuming and imagining that the anime would be at its very best, as a story, with its plots and characters.
How Good would it be animated?

Unfortunately, we're 38 votes in, but I'll adjust the question and hope some people change their vote if they assumed we'd probably get another badly flawed Junji Itou anime.
