So we're back at the ark but somethins kinda off bout it. This is where shadow gets the 1st of those "wishing orbs" & in doin so gains this new power called "doom spear". Pretty useful projectile based thing for longer distance attacks. He can shoot more than 1 at a time & they're pretty powerful. He has to fight 1 of his prototypes so he gets to test it on that. Seems the structure is, Find new location, Find orb in location, get new power, beat "le boss", unlock exit, rinse repeat generally speakin tho I'm positive not all of these will be fulfilled every time. He seems to be incredibly reckless & have a lack of self preservation for the sake of gettin Maria back. He took a full death bomb attack without dodgin or blockin so he could charge his new ability without interruption. When he got the new power from the orb his sorta "positive" opinion of the transition made the "one-eyed bug" pretty happy. Ye not sus at all. He sees maria again after the fight ends but hesitates due to the last 1 seemingly bein some kinda projection he couldn't interact wit at all. Tho it seems after finishin his job in this area somethin triggered maria to hear when shadow speaks but not anythin else. He can't interact beyond that & she can't even C. Not jus him, anythin. She's jus blind rn. She also doesn't remember that she died or that there was a raid. It seems this is a maria that is either from before that or the 1 that died jus got reverted to a prior version of herself. Not by much she's literally jus from or only remembers up to jus before the raid happened so she doesn't know it was a thing. Now shadow has things to figure out as he marches forward to his goal. Art was solid throughout tho there were some odd poses mainly when it tries to simulate seein more than 1 shadow when he runs in circles around the "prototype". Speekin of, that thing in particular had the bulk of the detail focused on it & it shows. It goes for a really terrifyin & ferocious look & I like it.

So this is the 1st chp. after the game has released & wit this content comparin it to the game it's made to advertise & is heavily based on. It's still def not 1-1 but it now seems a lot closer than I gave it credit. I have a much stronger idea of everythin that'll happen & even how it'll end. I could even give a better estimate of the chp. count if I tried it feels like.

This was a neat chp. I'm ready for next month
