Last time. tennis

I dunno
The op song isnt as good as the others, though now that its ep 3 its somewhat interesting i guess

Soo yeah germany wins the first match. no upset from oni, although it was close. at times
Next match? welp. i mean doubles
Highly doubt germany is going to just roll over
Even if japan somehow wins both doubles they'll still need to win a singles
And if they lose one doubles they'll have to win both singles

So yeah this time(next time, next episode) its duke and nio in doubles
Nio is super strong and he actually had a win in genius 10
The op actually sort of telegraphs the matchups
Tanegashima, byodoin (singles 2 vs volk?), kirihara (doubles?) and then yukimura vs tezuka in singles 1?

Next ep assuming they dont run out of budget should be quite insane as long as nio pulls out all the stops. might have to wait an ep though if they pace it out

Nio is just really uh. yeah. next time
With him in the picture honestly there's a good chance of japan winning doubles. Even then its entirely possible they might still lose and be down 2-0

This ep itself is ok I guess, more bombastic than ep 2, since the flashback really broke the pace. Reused footage aside, you would probably have a stroke trying to count the number of times footage was reused this ep

It's been a while since I've seen such a terrible animation.
The Oni faces, depending on the moment, looked like another character according to the "artist"!
But that wasn't the funniest part, other faces, poses and shots looked ridiculously drawn! Hilarious!

Well, Oni lost the match and Japan contiues in down in the semi-final!
