That was a pretty sweet ending. Nanako finally finding her meaning of happiness is sweet.

It only became clear to me that she was talking to future versions of herself after Skank-San disappeared. Kind of insane how fast it all clicked for me after that.

Minami is the version of her who fought with her parents and then lost them to a plane crash.

Skank-San is the version of her who isolated herself from other people and gave up on being happy.

Granny is the future version of her final self, I think, although the way she talks about Kiryuu may mean that in this version she still found happiness, just not with Kiryuu. I’m still not clear about that myself.

I enjoyed this quite a lot. It was a bit convenient that she somehow manages to get in touch with alternate future versions of herself but in the spirit of happiness, I’m willing to overlook things like logic. Life is like a log in a river, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

i mean it was my firsr novel and i hav some doubts, would appriciate if someone helps. like when nanoka wakes up and realizes she was just having a same dream again that usually comes ,she said that she often dreamt about her childhood memories but i wonder that the disappearance of all the characters were just a part of the dream or did the exact thing happened (their dissaperance) happen with her in real too? I know a weired one and i dont think this contributes much to the story's main narrative but would appriciate if someone answers.

i just finished reading it 2 days ago and absolutely loved it. i mean im really dum and tend to forget some small details and dont have a lot of experiece with novels or light novels , but still i was able to appriciate some neat details , like nanoka becoming a writer and the 'Live Me' signature and many more

i agree , its my first novel and absolutely loved it, ive alr watched the i ant to eat your pancreas movie so i kinda had a vague idea of what to expect from yoru sumino but this exceeded expectations (considering that ln to manga/anime adaptations generally tend to cut or chañge things) would really love readi g some of their other works

Not sure if this clears your doubt but I think the meeting with the alternative versions of her did happen to her but there’s also some hints in the story that she’s the only one that’s aware of these phenomena. I’m pretty sure the author made the exact mechanism by which she interacted with her alternate selves vague in order to not let the story get bogged down with irrelevant details.

thanks , that helps come to think of it this make sense as nobody else exept nanoka had interactions with them, this seems to work very well to weave connection b/w them and nanoka and leaves no plot holes. still is lil weired that miss bobtail also vanished but thats not a big deal . personally i thougbt of them as spirits at different point it time representing the huge concequences of the small mistake that nanoka might have made. mysteires aside thanks for your explanation and i personally enjoyed reading this :)
