With Nana being chosen as the substitute support player, Izumi and the girls better buck up if they want to be like her, especially Kuma. From personal training to the tuning of their bicycles, everything is essential, but Kuma has pushed herself beyond her limits to fall unconscious, which she was lucky that she got noticed to be sent to the infirmary. But there's someone who's suffering even more in the background: Nana, with her bandages all over her hands and feet, which makes Izumi all the more jealous, but sympathetic of her determination of how she got this far.

With Izumi and Nana staying behind at the training facility for the Summer break, the former inviting the latter to her family's hot spring business for a real conversation to talk about their negative first impressions, and how that shaped the relationship as not just roommates, but people. But as rivals, Nana does not see Izumi as her rival, but Kuma, even if like her that she admired both Yurume and Tachibana.

A Summer's break, and everyone's back, but Kuma...seemingly gets even worse from before. Can she ever recover?

It's easy to see how much more experienced Nana is than the rest of the girls. Well, they are slowly getting better and better for sure.

Poor Kuma, though. I hope she gets better soon.

Kumamoto's training caught up with her, she was pushing herself way to much and not even listening to the advice of the trainers.
Guess it's a good lesson for the others now the question is what will happen next.
Izumi seems to realise that she is able to do more but needs to work harder in order to achieve her goals making me wonder if she will start performing better instead of doubting herself.
I also would like to see her a bit more decisive.

So...
Nana's going to have to "settle" for Izumi now that Kumamoto is out of commission

Otherwise I fail to see the reason why she's the MC

This episode made it seem more like Kuma is MC instead of Izumi lol, although by the end it looks like that’s not gonna be the case as she ended up continuing her overtraining after she had already learned her lesson earlier in the episode when she nearly got crushed by her bike. It’s pretty sad to see, I would have liked to see her beat Nana, but Kuma unfortunately continued her bad habit and I doubt we’ll see her win now.

And I guess this is how Izumi is gonna take up the MC mantle and be the one to be Nana’s rival, it’s a shame this is how it had to happen but Kuma couldn’t do it. Besides the stuff with Kuma, I did like seeing Izumi get closer to Nana after all this time, I guess all it takes is to be naked near each other lol, I’m thinking this closer relationship will be part of why Izumi will be able to take on Nana instead of Kuma, that being said tho I hope Kuma isn’t going to quit cycling after this, hope she gets back up and keeps going, as she is the one who dragged them all into this mess lol.

5 episodes and the MC doesn't seem like the MC of this story. Kumamoto has destroyed herself because of her obsession, it hurts because she is a more interesting character than MC herself. and what to say about nana, today For today the most complete and mysterious character in the series

@KANLen09 It's funny how we've been through five chapters and the MC doesn't seem like the MC of this story. Kuma's self-destruction is very convenient for the script and that Izumi could be Nana's rival, although is a Sad for kuma . It's curious that Nana now considers Izumi her friend even though she doesn't see her as her rival. I like this anime

This show is my chill anime now.

I love how the constant feeling of hunger is making a re-reapparence through the episodes.
Calorie deficit is definetaly a suprising phenomena that a rider faces and its so funny to see hidden inside to some plots.

Even the geometry of the bikes are nice.
They got it, a good anime about cycling not only for cyclists.
