| There really should have been more focus on our main group by this point, not waiting until episode 5 to actually come back to Mano and co properly. They should have been used to introduce us to this world and the other characters, and so we could actually see their development. Instead, we get this episode where there's drama out of nowhere and they're acting like they've been through a lot and known each other for ages, despite the fact this is the first time we've seen them for more than, like, 30 seconds since episode 1: as presented, the drama is forced and the feelings these characters have for each other are hollow and come out of nowhere. Again, this show so obviously assumes everyone watching it has already played the gacha so knows the baseline plot beats, but if you don't it's just a mess. |
| I liked the performance they did. The CGI was pretty good too. They make the girls look soft and cute. Makes me want to just headpat them for their hard works. LOL . |

| Is this idolmaster for babies?... Hiori has literally done NOTHING wrong at all yet she is all sad an apologizing, what the fuck? Why??? She didn't had a fight or anything, just told the new member to try to practice alone so she can improve, that's all, I don't get it. This has to be the lamest main trio ever holy hell, after 4 (4!!!) whole episodes we finally get to see more of them and it turns out to be rushed and laaame, none of them is funny or has something to make her stand out, Mano is so shy it's annoying, and her voice tries to be so damn cute it fails, Hiori is like the cool type but don't have a deep plot or anything, she is really damn boring. The only one I could say I like is Meguru because she is really nice, and has potential but is stuck with 2 lame girls, I'm actually impressed I like her so much because I never like the blonde of the main trio in im@s. Their song, dance, and costumes were all beautiful, but that is to be expected. But still, the cgi took a big hit, Million Live had PEAK cgi, here the models are nice too but we can clearly see the frame drops, specially near the end of the song, insane. Oh, also, I don't really care about the unit names, but I do not like "illumination STARS", it legit sounds like something a 10y/o would come up with. I really hope this get better, because if it keeps being like this I may actually drop it, and I never drop idol animes, but damn, seriously, not even Cinderella Girls was this lame and for me that one was the worst, this being so bad and boring is impressive to me. |
