| Special Edition: Bass - The Ultimate Proof Wow, for a bonus chapter, this is surprisingly good with a lot of new information. Might even be the best chapter of the whole volume! I already knew Bass's origin story from the original MegaMan series of the 80's, but I never really learned the Battle Network/NT Warrior origin story for Bass.EXE specifically. This makes him seem less like a powermad super villain and more like a tragic anti-hero who's situation was born out of fear and misunderstanding. Admittedly, I can't help but get a bit of a Shadow The Hedgehog vibe from this chapter, but it's cool to see Dr. Cossack and Dr. Hikari in a chapter. Also, was that Dr. Light? Is he canonically in this story as Dr. Hikari's father now? |
