The Hate for heroes is absolute nonsense, it really is absurd. In earlier seasons it displayed the public opinion trending downward and the public started distrusting heroes which is the realistic outcome of things. The viewpoint of the public and how they hate heroes is quite literally the product of a child's ideology, processing skills, knowledge, and a spoiled kid who gets spoonfed everything. They rely on the heroes to keep them safe and risk their lives and not to mention most people I'd assume have been saved by a hero at least once in their life in this society. Yet when they fail people blame everything on them, act like they're useless, act like they're against them, and think they can do better. Its truly like the whole population is 5 years old and had something taken away by a parent that was also bought by that same parent and now they think they're the ultimate evil. If the heroes didn't exist everyone would straight up be dead yet they shit more on the heroes then the villains. This was something that just annoyed me. Any part where this was a focal I just couldn't give full 100% attention to because it just felt so stupid.

Well, if we compare it to what happened in 2020 in the US, it is not that bad.
Anyway, we as an audience know full scope and context of events and what really happened, while the public knows only what Dabi said in his recording. It would be understandable, that those who you considered a paragons of justice with authority are morally gray and at best or completely corrupt at worst would have such a reaction.

Yes, it is annoying because we know what really is happening! but the reactions are understandable if you think about it and it happens IRL.

IDK who's even rooting for the heroes at this point. The villains r so much cooler and have better characters as well.

I think its pretty realistic since it's pretty much what happened during covid, people had hate and distrust for doctors, nurses and government officials (aka heros) because they couldn't keep the virus (aka villains) away from hurting/killing people. Then rules are put in place to protect people (aka safe zones for people to be safe from villains) and people got mad and then blamed them for not doing there job causing more chaos between doctors, nurses, government officials and people (aka heros and people) putting the anime in the same realistic state as we were just a little bit ago and probably same with us until more information is shared and understood on the 2 sides there will still be a great divide between the sides

Not just what dabi said, the wanton destruction and increasingly frequent defeats are also contributing to the population’s distrust

People are stupid, and always want to blame someone. Ordinary masses want someone to take responsibility when something bigs (in a bad sense) happens. That's just how people are.
Taking things for granted, getting angry when their delusional expectations are not met, that's what humans are. Can't change that for mindless masses.
All they want is for someone else to take the lead, so that when all goes to shit, they can blame that person.

Ochako convincing the crowd to accept deku was meh and there is no way it can work on the angry crowd when people weren't even listening to UA authorities. But it worked and thus the last half of S6 was childish.

I don’t really think the situation is at all similar to 2020 in the US. If it were the heroes targeting and attacking the civilians then I’d say it would be a but more comparable.

In this case, the heroes are trying their best to protect the civilians. Since they are so used to a society where heroes took care of all their problems, they’re lashing out due to losing one of the privileges they’re used to. I don’t think it’s right and they’re definitely overreacting, but it is not surprising that they’d react this way in my opinion.

They’re not receiving something that they thought was always guaranteed to them so kind of like a spoiled kid not getting what they want.

No but im annoyed by how the writer writes off the angry people as evil ignorant fools while every hero is shown as basically a Jesus-on-cross saint the way they deal with it. Just not too realistic and very shounen-y

Exactly, i totally agree. As long as they are "safe/protected" they do not care for the heros. So their reaction doesen't surprice me at all.

@GhibliNerd

Haha, I forgot to finish season 6 last year, just watched last two episodes and that yelling in a loudspeaker (where did she get it?) was beyond stupid.

Nothing she said was inspiring or something that hadn't been already said to the people.

Basically what's happening is, the writer though making people hate heroes would be a nice side-conflict, but the writer is terrible at making it seem realistic and not something taking place in a bubble that will have zero effect on the bigger picture.

Kinda like the side characters supporting Deku, afterthought shitty super powers. And they ended the season 6 with more America dick sucking Japanese love to do in every media, with a loud American hero showing up to annoy you (like we needed more annoying characters).

At-least the students didn't start fucking singing and dancing like the last shitty season. I was ready to skip the moment they did. Can't get more moronic than "People are dying, scared, loved ones lost, HOW ABOUT we start singing some shitty Japanese idol song. That should make things better."
