| Well, I loved how the Dog contributed to the last part of the series, by helping out the main hero in need and finally Polymar's identity is revealed to everyone. I am glad they were able to resolve this. Pretty average Tatsunoko work over all but still some elements of it were entertaining. I loved Baron and Teru not just being delegated to the damsel in distress and actually actively involved in the case work with Takashi and Joe. Though out of all of the Tatsunuko productions, this probably was considered my weakest over all in terms of character presentation and development, story and even stand out moments. I was also annoyed by the fact there was no BIG BAD like there mostly is in alot of these works. It was just another generic weekly villain on the final episode which so far has broken the formula of these series where you actually have an established main antagonist. Most of these one-dimensional characters had very slight motivations which were never explored outside the fact that they are just evil for the purposes of being evil and using one of 26 different ideas in this series of world domination. Also, I noticed some stories were poorly written to the point where the creator had to improvise and introduce other connections and back stories that did not exist in the series plot to add some further background to some of the characters. That in my opinion was kind of a lazy way of doing things. Overall, I think the score of 4/10 is what I am setting on for this specific series. Now it’s onto the final Tatsunuko work and that is Space Tekkaman. I am curious to see how this last series will do. Gatchamon still clearly being my favorite with Casshern at a close 2nd. I am also looking forward to seeing the crossover of all these iconic characters in the Infinity T force, that will be interesting. Until Next time! |
