Welp, this episode follows the same pattern as the last episode. I'm so used to this I'm getting deja vu!

Part 1 is The Continuing, seemingly never ending Xue's Angel God Trials - this time the flashback is to her grandpa, who loves a girl (with a really nice outfit) but she loves Tang Chen! She tells him she needs to ascend to godhood (as an excuse to reject Xue's Grand father), except Tang Chen takes it seriously (men in love are dumb). So he ends up going to the sea god trials, and as we later know, he ends up being corrupted by Slaughter City.

So Cockblocked Grandpa loses the love of his life, and ends up vowing revenge against the Clear Sky Tribe. Blaming the wrong person.

This goal of revenge now falls upon his descendant to execute. I mean, it's kinda dumb that some people can't handle rejection? So what, she's not that into him. He's a good looking guy with high level cultivation, don't tell me there aren't any women who want him? Or are they all too intimidated by his shampoo commercial hair blowing in the win in pretty much every single scene? Sheesh!

Wait for it ... wait for it ... YUP, Xue Cries. Again! Cue music from the world's tiniest violin. How predictable. Sigh.

Part 2: Tang San getting more rings for his hammer. This felt like 10 seconds of screen time as we barely got to see anything except maybe next episode he'll have to tangle with an over powered poison kitty. Why didn't he bring the Sherk 7 with him for backup? They would be useful about now.

Now continues the wait for the next episode.

i really hate what this show has become. it's a caricature of what it once used to be; and it used to be great

i don't give two shits about this angel chick. it's the most boring, lame ass, convoluted crap ever. the angel tells her "let go of all your affections and desires", but all she does this episode is cry over the dead grandfather she killed, state her desire to become the strongest person in the world, and vow revenge against tang san and the hao tian tribe. how can she pass the trial if that's what she has in her heart? (because the angel god isn't good. none of this angel shit makes any sense. damnit man)

tang san out hunting beasts. two issues with that. 1, his fiancee is a beast. 2, he could've easily brought all his shrek buddies along to help, like i questioned an episode or two ago in the discussion thread. and apparently tang san has to kill a loved one as a sacrifice to become the sea god. sigh...

two more episodes until i'm caught back up. i'm going to watch them now. but if i don't enjoy them, i don't know that i'll have any desire to keep watching this show. it's just not good anymore. i don't enjoy watching it anymore. not for the last 80-90 episodes LMFAO (i actually went back and read all my comments, and i've been complaining about the shitty quality of this show for a long time. wow. i need to just drop it...)

How are we supposed to even slightly buy this story of supposed impartial and emotionless justice as the angel heir continues to swear vengeance on the victims of her country's crimes and even their descendants?

There was one moment, when she did the test and accepted that male-her was evil, where it almost looked like she got it, but she clearly hasn't figured this out. How did she pass that test if she's still bent on murdering the MC's entire family just because he beat her in a fight one time while she was murdering people?
