Can't believe they ended it with such a cliffhanger! Hope there will be a 2nd season (and soon). This series was more entertaining than I had expected.

this should be on everyone's DONG LIST

these final two episodes were definitely darker than before. and they really emphasized the artificer aspect, which i think is a pretty cool part of the show. it also felt a lot like the matrix with all those flying things lol

overall, i'm glad to see him pick the university that stuck by his side and supported him when he was injured. i thought it was great that he wants to turn that university into the best school for artificers when that's not what they're known for. i want to see more of this ai/robot thing that belongs to the mc. want to learn more about that student who trained in the demon arts. and maybe it was just me, but i thought the mc's "bully" at school was actually kind of glad when li yao's name appeared at the top of the leaderboard (idk if it was because he liked the rivalry/competition, or if maybe he laughed as a big "f you" to his father, or what)

7.5/10. i liked it, but i just didn't think anything was "omg amazing". but, i also didn't think anything was "bad". there were no bad episodes

Aiya it ended too soon! I binge-watched this series last night not knowing anything about it and what a great find! I like the sci-fi setting, the rapid engineering repair aspect, the monster fights are exciting, the suspense of not knowing what's going to happen to our MC with that bad guy living in his soul, and the fact that there is no annoying girlfriend. Instead our MC is driven by his ultimate goal of being a master artificer (the rapid engineering, design, and repair).

And can we talk about our MC? He's just great all around. He's hard-working, he's loyal, he has a great attitude, he doesn't hold grudges, and he sticks to what he knows is right. I would have kicked him in the head if he chose the Sea Academy after they denied him twice, but somehow I knew my boy wouldn't let me down. The people who believed in him and helped him get back on his feet are the ones he chose in the end and honestly I think the War academy is the better choice. We saw in this episode that having a strong body and combat prowess is beneficial to artificers. This is why he was able to help during the beast tide and the other student was too scared to even try.

I knew that He Lan Lie wasn't a bad guy deep down and I'm proud of him for going his own way and getting out from under his father's direction. He reminds me of Candice from Swallowed Star and I would like to see more of him. Since he seems to be battle-type cultivator maybe he and the MC will both end up at the War Academy.

The season ended with us knowing the consequences of the events from the island competition. Now the beasts have found the wormhole and are going to try invasion. With the MC and the soldiers on their last legs, how will they fend off a second attack? So tense and exciting!

This series gives me Swallowed Star vibes and I love it. Could become another favorite, I hope they air a second season and soon.
