| The mystery of it all works great to keep the best friend in the unknown of where his friend is after he brutalized a guy's head with his bat, stealing a lot of money, with an upperclassman searching for him now, and the protagonist leaving a voice message with a sense of hope and guilt wishing for his best friend to return save. His actual message is unclear to me, but I don't think it really matters because the whole sentiment of regret, confliction and wonder is all there regardless. Even while knowing that he's hopelessly sending this voice mail to his friend's cellphone of which the upperclassmen is holding. 7/10. |
