| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Her transformation costume with Hayate is pretty cute :D, Can't wait to see all her costumes. So I guess the person that transforms with her takes the damage, that's an idea I haven't really seen yet. I'm glad she wants to practice instead of running away :) yay and another costume and new power with Sasame!!! I like Mawata, I hope her and Himeno will be good sisters/friends :) |

| Ahh... I was totally wrong about Mawata, it seems! Looks like she's not related to Fenrir. Well... Good. I'm glad this series isn't so predictable. :D It would be interesting [and kind of nice] to see Mawata and Himeno become better friends... I have to say, even though Himeno's outfits are super girly when she transforms, I really like them. XD 6enicki said: I can't wait to see the rest of them. Me too! |
| Himeno experienced the world purely through sound and in a way that's intended to exceed human ability; it was magic, after all. How does the show depict this? Just by her floating above the action of the scene. They had the perfect opportunity to do something interesting and just did what was easy instead. This magic is boring. The parts that focus on Mawata get her enough sympathy, but it's kind of overstated; of course she's resentful about her self-centered mother turning her life upside down. This incidentally makes her much more sympathetic than Himeno who for all her angsting is having an easier time and is a pretty boring person to boot. Since they've had Himeno treating "preting" as if it's something akin to sex the whole time, having the three little boy characters (the youngest of which must be six at the most) flock around her asking her to "do it with me!" is pretty damned creepy. |

| hard not to like anime with this kind of cast I'm glad they don't focus and spend too much time on predictable monster fights. So far so good.. |

| The only thing that annoyed me about this episode was the fact that Himeno told the shouta not to cry because he's a boy. Way to reinforce gender stereotypes and teach a kid that he should keep all of his emotions bottled up. |
