AKA The Escape Reaches Its End

I'll be honest; this might possibly be my favourite chapter in the series so far...

Just when Momo and Akari were having a half-friendly, almost wholesome moment, of course something would happen that would result in Momo turning into a rage-fuelled killing machine xD The discussion about Otherworlders returning to Japan was also really interesting (I'd suspected in earlier volumes that it may be a solution to Menou avoiding a miserable fate) and I enjoyed seeing a bit more of worldbuilding aspect coming through again, even if the discussion raised more questions than it answered.

Also, it's utterly hilarious that Momo and Akari managed to sell themselves out in the end xD Those two really are hopeless as any kind of pairing, heh Interesting that we got to see how Menou and Momo stack up to each other in combat and I guess it's for the best that Ashuna intervened when she did, for the story's sake (could the Princess be any more convenient of a character?). Also utterly hilarious is the look on Ashuna's face when interrupting the squabbling executioners and the look on their faces in response...

The biggest development of course being the revelation at the end of the chapter, no doubt. I genuinely didn't realise until the narrator begins to speak on Guiding Camouflage that it was Flare impersonating Ashuna. That said, Akari really is in a bad spot now, if she's stuck between Pandæmonium, The Director and Flare... Although, earlier in the chapter, it's implied that the executioners and the Princess are aware that some trickery is afoot, I guess we'll find out in the next chapter if they manage to catch on in time.

Next up; the last main chapter for volume four (the last currently released in English :( ) - And Thus The Chase Begins
