Everyone's pumped for Summer vacation...except Ryo whom experienced a slump in his studies that could affect his badminton playing.

Being in the academic advancement course, Ryo should count his lucky stars that Akira is also in the same course as him, but at the expense of his own health suffering the Summer cold. And with the Inter-High and training camp around the corner, Ryo really got himself into hot water. But no matter, the Summer Inter-High must go on, and both Yokohama Minato and Saitama Futaba facing each other again. The Higashiyama twins did their best, and the Yusa-Yokokawa duo won singles (because of Yusa) and lost doubles the same as always.

Ryo's middle school friends Shizuo and Hiroto certainly was surprised at Ryo not showing up at the Inter-High, while his badminton clique showing up at his door was certainly surprised to see the goddess Rika be Ryo's sister. But Yokohama Minato as a team can't just be supported by Yusa's solo efforts, it's becoming more of a liability and not of a team.

Ultimately, the newbie tournament coming up where Ryo will be able to fulfill his purpose to his friends, and Yusa's only joke of meeting Ryo's sister, I'd be surprised if it ever gets to that point of an eventual date between them both.

We usually don't see sports anime that take place in a strong school, the mindset is very different, they're not satisfy if they're not winning all the category in national level, while Shizuo and Hiroto's school is still struggling to get into interhigh.

Lmao Yusa, sorry bud. No date for you! I wonder if she would have even said yes if he had won in the first place. I haven’t seen any interactions between her and him at all. Like is he even on her radar? lol.

Rika is such a great character too, I really like how supportive of Ryo she is. She’s always there with some advice or words of encouragement when he needs it most. What a great sister!

Ryo really needs to start focusing on his studies as well. He can’t just keep training in badminton. I kinda felt like he was distracted this entire ep. If he doesn’t properly hit the books, he’s in trouble. Forget playing with his buddies at the newbie tourney, he’s not gonna even be able to stay on the team. Dude has a lot of work ahead both in terms of catching up in badminton and studying.

I feel bad for Hongo and the other 3rd years not being able to snag a win their last year of HS, but 3rd isn’t too bad overall. Must be frustrating and disappointing for their last big game though. At least they tried, they just fell short unfortunately.

Ryo is so lucky to have a sister like Rika around. Too bad Yusa won't be going out on a date with her anytime soon.

Inter High flew by so fast. Not even Ryo manage to attend the important event, because, its actually not that important. Yusa got the double crown, but failed on a team section, made him cry out loud. However, its then revealed by Ryo's sister that he's crying not because of sad feelings his school not reaching out their target. Its because of his individual goal, lettin go of a golden opportunity to date with the school goddess. Damn. Rip to rotten princess biggest dream. Try hard next year, but if only Rika-san still accept all the promise when she's not even on the school anymore xd.

On the side note, Ryo got another precious lesson after that self-thought. Here come next target he needs to realize: newbie tournament and playing against his old friends!

Rika is such a great sister. I like how supportive she is.
That being said, I question her decision about answering Yusa through text message. Personally, I find it disrespectful since he asked her out in person. If she couldn't meet up with him, she could've at least called him or talked with him through video chat. It seems like she realized this herself though.

But congrats to Yusa on getting the double crown ^^
