I'm confused, episode 1 looked so nice at the beginning but then everything goes back to some 2015 Chinese budget quality animation wise and the writing is quite bad even in consideration for its simple genre.

Ok, after the third episode I think I get the vibe of this show.

It's probably best to not think so much about character development and story and try to enjoy the dialogue and fight scenes for what they are.

The animation has some brilliant moments and some not so brilliant moments, and the sound design seems pretty solid.
