| The Wulinshu, and the paper that dropped out of a book, it's the famous Chawan Sign code that Shenmue fans will recognize: Heaven, Dragon, Earth, Friend. A way of communications between masters of martial arts schools, that if communicated wrongly can have dire consequences. The first hidden location of Man Mo Temple from his stint at Dou Jiang Diner, but that was a mistake that got Ryo assaulted. How Fangmei dragged Ryo all the way back to the temple is a godsend. The next place at Zhangyu's Barber Shop, Zhangyu tries to test Ryu of his reflexes, and though he was once a martial artist, he is not willing to share the secrets of the Wude. Oh well, but at Heavenly Tea Shop, he's able to find a lead that quickly disperses due to a gang revolt. Good thing that with the hidden help of Master Xiuying, he's able to meet Zhu Yuanda's aide Shuqin, and the next point: Ren of Heavens. Another assault, and this time Ryo lands at Wong's hideout, to be given a Zippo which is their callsign for Ren. But being the gullible man Ryo is, Ren is able to make a run with the money, and Ryo is determined reagrdless. And with that, he's learned the 3rd of 4 Wude: Dan. Apprently they reshuffled the game's events, but this feels fine to me. With all 4 Wude mastered, all that's left is Master Xiuying to reveal the next corner, and Ryo bades farewell knowing the seeds of revenge in his heart, something that Xiuying doesn't want to press knowing her history with her sister Ziming. We're gonna reach Disc 3 soon, just not yet for good pacing. |

| What Ryo didn't get unconscious fighting until now, he got in this episode. Is still cool beat or try to beat Ryo as first response. Ren is expecting too much from Ryo vendetta. Just saying, I mean, other people are already prepared for the black market business take over. What is open is just kick people butts and learn the martial arts philosophy |

| I like the way they rearranged events to teach Ryo the fourth wude. A lot of important events happened this episode and enter Yuan. The last four episodes are gonna be great. |

| Ryo got to learn how to watch his back because seeing him get hit from behind was hilarious. Still, despite learning the fourth wude he doesn't understand the fundamentals of martial arts which is self-defense. Using martial arts to attack someone leads to murder and it takes years of discipline to resist the urge to kill. If he continues down this path of revenge, he'll be no different than Lan Di and the endless cycle of revenge will continue. |

| Probably the best episode yet. That final scene was goddamn amazing. The weight and flow of the dialogue, the sense of both determination and fear/uncertainty behind both Ryo's lines and Xiuying's lines, it was masterful. This is by far the best video game adaptation I've ever experienced, and the fact that it can build upon the source material so much while staying so incredibly faithful to it is a wonder and I commend this show's staff to the moon and back. Can't wait to see how they'll adapt Kowloon, my favorite location in the entire series :D |

| People still seem to be totally sleeping on this. A pretty entertaining episode overall. Our hero has learned all 4 wude -- but still seems to be missing the underlying point. Xiuying surely wasn't happy that he has walked out to do something he is not ready to do -- just like her big brother. |

| Ryo still have a long way to go and I can see he ends up in K.O, not once but twice. He's so reckless! :/ Overall, great episode! I feel very happy everytime I find a SEGA easter egg, and this time the Bonanza Brothers. >w> I couldn't find a screenshot but you can check at 14:30 :) |

| Carefullness being the last Wude learned, I think Ryou should follow that by temporarily pausing his journey and pay a visit to the damn doctor with the amount of steel pipes he has tanked from behind. |
