Decent episode but that ending was kind of unexpected.

Xiao Yan powers up yet again and deals with the 3 Yunleng elders, The heavenly python beast grows and helps Xiao Yan escape all while Yun Yun and Xiao Yan have their final goodbye moment as she greets him at the end.

Too bad Xiao Yan didn't exactly get payback for his father or even save his father in this arc but it definitely kept me on edge every episode. solid 9/10 overall and 8/10 this episode

em...we can just wait tirelessly the rest depends upon the moderators. I mean it kinda sucks of waiting such long 8-9 months between each season!!

Happy ending 🎈🎈I really don't expect this ending but happy for yunyun atleast he tells her what he think in ending and one of the best anime among 1000anime in my list and this anime is really in trending section of mal I am really happy that 3000 memeber make it possible 🤘🤘🤘

Itll release next year according to official website . They are planning to release this series with break from next year with reduced amount of quality and less episode air time

Definitely The Best Season So Far.
I Usually Only Rate This As Good But this Was Actually Great.
A Few Lulls But Mostly Full On Action, Don't Care For The Romance Though.
Do Love Everything About Medusa Though, Cannot Get Enough Of Her On Screen.

what a trash ending to the episode. only good part was "bring back my corpse" as he walked past that skank

maybe yunshan will do us all a favor and kill her once she comes back and has failed yet again to kill MC. that would be nice. i can dream, can't i? it probably WOULD happen if it weren't for the fact that she's the 2nd most powerful douqi practitioner in their sect, which is now in ruins. darn

yafei and the miteer family are great. love them. hai bodong, what a truly impressive man. sure, he's powerful af. but he has a pure sense of justice and does not hesitate to piss off his own friends in pursuit of this. mad respect

so the MC now killed 2 yunlan elders (with assistance) and hai bodong took out at least one more. plus countless juniors have fallen in these last few episodes. *celebratory first pump*

1. we have no clue who that voice was that yunshan was talking to
2. we don't know who that mysterious black cloud was that yunyun was following
3. i'm going to assume yuner's black smoke servant dude saved patriarch xiao, but who knows
4. i'm obviously curious to learn more about who/what exactly yuner is. fwiw, i think she's who MC is destined to end up with (it's not what i *want* to happen; it's what i think will *actually* happen. as long as it's not medusa, yanlan, or yunyun, at this point i don't really care who he ends up with)
5. curious to see MC acquire a new heavenly fire type and perfect this new super duper secrety rock technique
6. that 3 flower snake girl is still with in that one city/village whatever recovering? we haven't heard/seen from her since she had her soul partially taken

but i hate how this season is almost completely about fights and battles. there isn't a whole lot of training and knowledge acquisition. that's not how the previous 4 seasons were (seasons 4 and 3 were great). and, especially early on in this season, it felt like there were some random/undeserved power ups. meh

LASTLY, LET'S BE VERY CLEAR: THIS WHOLE SEASON IS A FARCE
* the entire yunlan sect wants to kill MC because he killed mo cheng. but why do they care? in season 3, episode 11, yanran literally kicked mo cheng out of the "yun family" because of his human experiements. the elder that was with yanran saw all of this. yet in this season they both have a completely different version of events? or did the show just try to rewrite the past in order to make the current plot "work"? i just can't excuse this away. this is a serious flaw in the story
(* FOUR SEASONS OF HYPE for the 3 year agreement and it lasted 1.5 episodes haha. this isn't necessarily a big deal but it was funny to me. kind of like GoT hyping up "winter is coming for 7 seasons and then winter never arriving; it literally didn't make it out of the north haha. it died less than halfway through the final season. *upside down smiley emoji*)

some of the fights were fun, though they could've been scaled back in some instances. but the plot was whack and i absolutely hate yunyun

so i'm giving this season a 6/10. it's better than season 2 and 1, but not better than season 4 and 3. 4>3>3yr>2>1

Yun Zhi, or rather Yun Yun has to be my favorite girl if not top 3 in the series, along with Medusa and Yao Ye.

I was expecting Xiao Yan to only leave Jia Ma after he conquered it, but I suppose there's no way he could stay with how it's going with Yunlan sect which is the dominant force in Jia Ma.

Onto the school arc, which is typically my favorite in these type of series. Excited for it.

So this is how the 5th season ends, getting my hopes up in the three year agreement was worth it and I really love this season. This was an amazing season full of fights and emotions, totally worth it every episode. Just happy that there are still people who wants to support Xiao Yan because it's definitely sad seeing how Xiao Yan is always trying to get revenge.
