| Looks like we have a show-off, egotistical main character for this series; That doesn't pair well with his evil spirit acting like a second personality. Even if it is an act, his cultivation is bad in the beginning but with no intention to level up he uses underhanded tactics which is already repetitive after just this episode. I'm not sure why MC specifically didn't want to cancel the marriage especially since he has other plans in mind like finding evidence for his family's disappearance/murder. Also what is his family background? it's usually clear in the first 2 episodes what his standing in the family is and what his family is ranked in society; So far we can discern that he is the son of the late family patriarch and was setup for marriage at the Emperor's request as a tribute to his late father the family patriarch. But beyond that, everything feels so empty and in lack of substance. |
