Orsted, one of the seven great powers really lives up to his reputation. Holy shit.

If you ask me, Orsted made one hell of an impression for his appearance. Rudy is lucky to be alive after that encounter. That might of been one of the closest instance of his death in their world.

Turning Point 2...and the Dragon God Orsted is a real enemy threat.

Anime-onlies, WE AREN'T READY FOR THIS.

It's so satisfying to see Eris and Ruijerd spar to improve the former's craft, and she's getting better by the day. Getting recognized by Ruijerd as a warrior is already very good rnough. As for Rudeus's pervertic behaviour of giving Eris and reality check to pinch her, and going for Eris's nipple instead (speculate that all you want but it looks that way), that is the only constant on the way to find Zenith.

From the Shirone Kingdom to Asura, the journey there is a lot treacherous, more than the fascination of snow and rock boulders. And lo and behold, one of the Seven Great Powers Orsted and his masked assistant Nanahoshi passes by them which set both Eris and Ruijerd freezing in their tracks...and Rudeus isn't aware of how terrifying Orsted can be, doing the usual formalities of what Orsted knows by the Greyrat family tree (everyone except Rudeus). Tsuda Kenjirou VA-ing Orsted truly exudes wicked evil in all regards, I feel the chills down my spine.

It's only when Orsted mentions AND Rudeus confirms about the Human-God Hitogami...that Orsted goes full-ham on him, Ruijerd and Eris barely having a chance of survival. Orsted REALLY wiped the floor clean with Rudeus, and this chance was one in a million in survival against enemies.

A moment of recluse for Rudeus's old NEET self meeting again with the Human-God, and the context there gets even more explicit about Orsted being one of the Cursed Children, and 3 other curses which labels him as the most fearsome person ever. Ruijerd's curse being the Curse of the Spears from Laplace that's been on the decline because he shaved his green hair, that's a good rhetoric. The Technique God vs. Orsted that the latter would win based on strength alone, would love to see that animated in a season going forward.

But for now, the death (illustrated by the gaping hole on his chest) was just a fate of being unlucky. Thankfully, at the point of their utmost death, at Nanahoshi's request, Orsted healed their wounds and let them live another day...at least for now.

The very first scuffle between Gods...and this won't ever be the last.

MASTERPIECE EPISODE, I'm very floored and speechless for words.

Damn, Orsted is hella strong, He made Eris and Rudeus full of wounds, Rudeus got serious injuries. I laughed when I saw a hole in Rudeus former body's chest but luckily his wound was healed.

Our party has left for Asura and along the way, they met a guy who Eris and Ruijerd knew about, Rudy didn't know about him and later they got destroyed by him. I felt so bad for them. They looked so helpless in his presence. But, man Orsted looks so cool and badass. I can't...

Once again, the human god appeared in Rudy's dream, and once again they had a heart to heart where some interesting things were mentioned. Lucky for Rudy, that he didn't die in that. But, things could've been way worse. Eris is such an awesome girl. She was so worried about them. ;_; Indeed, a turning point of an episode.

The turning point (2) is finally here and this is the GRAND episode of MT part 2. It's truly among the best episodes of the year. Tsuda Kenjiro as Ostred's VA is honestly the best thing they have done. Fluid animation and the intense atmosphere. Just beautiful how well crafted this episode was. I have so much to say but the episode was BRILLIANT. When Ostred asked Rudeus if he knew who Hitogame is, that's the moment where he FUCKED up. Rujierd's face was absolutely something worth remembering for a long time. It was shown so well how strong and how dangerous Ostred actually was in front of them. It was a great episode but heartbreaking for real. Nanahoshi is a really, really interesting character. MASTERPIECE OF AN EPISODE!

You talked too much Rudeus. Hitogami little chat was also great.

Perfect score for this episode.

Really good episode. I think it couldn't have been more perfect. Anime taking liberties with the snowy setting and ox jumping off etc was just really well done.

Easily one of, if not the best episode so far. Just incredible how close this was, I can't believe Rudy managed to survive that fight, well he almost didn't survive, so it could have ended up very tragic for him.

Damn this episode was something else, Orsted really gave me chills when we see him slowly approaching. What a masterpiece in direction and photography.

Rudeus nearly dying too, only to be saved by the masked women that nobody seems to know who it is.
Well there are a lot more questions now and only 2 episodes left, I'll definitely pick up the LNs after this.

I mean look at the actions.
Orsted the coolest dude outta there. His impression and appearance.
Everything just nailed it.
The second coolest guy to me is probably The Human God.
A 10/10 episode.

Great way to start the episode, got me hyped very fast. The short sparring scene between Eris and Ruijerd was well done. Congratz to Eris, Ruijerd now acknowledges her as a warrior. Also Rudeus never change, he seriously pinched her nipple, what a guy!

The rest of the episode was legit insane. Battle with Orsted was epic. It was done so well, props to Studio Bind for doing a great job. The final moment with Eris crying for Rudeus was sweet.

Interesting lores this episode, made me really curious about Laplace. Very curious to know more about Nanahoshi, Hitogami, Orsted and the seven gods too.

I guess we're finally here that our OP Rudeus died shortly after unintentionally meeting with Orsted. I guess the guy in Rudeus' dreams are pretty clueless about it. It was fun to see him cornered but Rudeus decided to let him go... Sigh... The manga was
but I don't mind since it was produced like flawlessly in the battle scenes which makes it very interesting to watch.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Well, it was because Rudeus didn't feel threatened, like the others. Therefore, he assumed Orsted was an ordinary person who happened to be passing by.

I straight up got chills when Orsted walked by the group. The studio did a great job at showcasing how powerful he is before they even begin to fight. It smashed every expectation I had.

Episode of the year. I was completely blown away.

The introduction to the episode, the sparring animation and sound effects between Ruijerd and Eris and Ruijerd acknowledging Eris' growth and maturity, the confrontation and the sound design overall between Orsted and the Dead End crew (and how he really emulated fear in a genuinely terrifying manner), the ass-kicking Orsted gave to Ruijerd and Eris, him nearly killing Rudeus, the Man-God convo and even Rudeus' revival at the end with Eris crying her eyes out feeling grateful after not losing the most important person in the world to her (and even feeling shocked that Rudeus after having a hole in his body did not cry or react much despite him nearly dying).

Near perfect episode for me. Completely left me stunned, and it felt like 5 minutes again. That next episode is going to be an emotional rollercoaster like this one. God bless Studio Bind, Manabu Okamoto, Ryo Imamura, Hiroyuki Takashima and everyone involved with this episode and series as a whole.

Plus, some bonus points for the lore being tackled here too to flesh out the whole world and situation nicely.

Given the Name "Nanahoshi" feel like she is also a reincarnation. I'm intrigued as to why she still has her Japanese name though. I have a theory but Ill keep it to myself for now.

Insanely good episode. The animation was so clean during the training part and during the Fight with Orsted.

Holy fucking shit that was so good! For me that was by far the best episode out of both seasons. Everything about the meeting, the fight, etc. just held me at the edge of the seat.

Rewatched the episode a bunch and here's what I picked up: Orsted knows them but they don't know him, even knows their names — I'm guessing just like the "Human God" he knows the future to some extent. He didn't know Rudeus and that Paul had a son, he also asked the question about the Human God only after noticing that Rudeus isn't affected by his curse (courtesy of being from another world), so in that case Orsted knows the future where Rudeus wasn't supposed to exist, aka. the real reality of their world. Human God brought an anomaly into their world. Incredibly interesting development & finally we're focusing on the world.

Very powerful episode with alot of new information about the world, that spar at the start with Eris and Rujierd was insane, then the Orsted scene turned everything on it's head.

Just when you think they are OP they get completely decimated by one guy, the animation was incredible on the fight too.

Rudeus almost certainly was revived due to the fact he wasn't effected by the curse which is the same with the girl Orsted is with and even though I know who it is the name alone tells you they are japanese.

Fantastic episode as usual, but I couldn't have been the only one to feel that Rudeus' instant answer to Orsted was a bit OOC. Like, dude's not spoken a single word about Hitogami to anyone up until this point, and the first person he tells about it to is a random person he meets on the road?

Other than that, the hyped-up Turning Point 2 did not disappoint.

OMG I've been blessed !!! This episode is soooo goood!! It definately live up to the hype!! So much thing happen that I don't even know where to start. I had never seen Ruijerd or Eris so powerless before. Even though Eris had improve she still can't even hold a candle with the Dragon God Orsted. Rudeus literally see his death twice or more when the eyes activated it shook him deeply that make him paralized out of fear but the most coolest thing is how quick he adapt and fight back man that rock bullet was like a fuki* railgun or something, and the fireball power left me speechless in the LN that fireball could be consider a fuckin NUKE if it wasn't for Orsted drew out the dragon gate Rudeus would kill everyone in that cave with the explosion well except Orsted :(.
In the end, this is by far the best episode of season 2 hand down to me.

Seeing the title "Turning Point 2" I expected a bit more of a... turning point? I mean, last time it changed literally everything. I guess this episode will have some consequences too, but it's not as game-changing as I expected. And it's good tbh - I like how things go right now.
"Dead" Rudeus was pretty nice to the Man-God. I wonder how much of it was because of him thinking he is dead, and how much he actually started to accept that weird white guy. At this rate maybe Rudeus will also stop seeing himself as his old self at some point?
Action scenes were really impressive. Pinching Eris' nipple even more so.

Turning Points turn the flow of the story entirely. They change way more than you imagine right now. But without spoiling they're also Turning Points precisely because they're changing the power dynamic between Hitogami and Orsted.
