The Slayers / Ruby Eye (TP title)

Very typical D&D, S&S, or whatever you name it, fantasy with manga/anime humour (people falling on their face because of a dumb joke) and (relatively) fun characters.
It's interesting to see how the author was able to come up with a decently big stake while setting up a (fairly standard) background mythology all in his first book, giving way to a possible series. Was a series even intended to begin with?

Score: 7/10
Enjoyment: 5/5
The nostalgia is high, even with a new translation (and a less pleasant cover illustration).

Funny new afterword "penned" by the Lord o Nightmares but I regret not having the possibility to read the original ones for the next volumes in the series.
