| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Kyūkyoku tai shikō taiketsu!! Yasai-hen - "Ultimate VS Supreme Battle!! Vegetable Edition" The second Menu competition two-parter. Yamaoka helped Tabata and Arakawa with their issue polishing rice, and so he and Kurita are invited back for dinner. Arakawa's mother prepares some culinary delights from Iwate, including fiddleheads covered in a sauce mixed with Japanese walnuts. Combining this and their tradition of using crimson glory vine juice on turnips, Yamaoka gains inspiration and a victory. However, given Kaibara won with his cabbage dish and withdrew his turnip dish in order to play mind games, Yamaoka knows he's losing and must step up his game. |
