----------------------------------------
The first page is world building. There's been a surprising amount of that in this volume. Given the huge amount of stuff we don't know, the author probably wanted this story to go beyond 10 acts. We're most likely not going to find any answers by reading the remainder of the volume since it's all one-shots, haha.

The sword, outfit, and dragon (?) on the volume cover...we don't see any of that stuff during acts 7-10. We also never see the long whip-like weapon featured on the first volume's cover. More importantly, we don't know what Ignys is. Given the appearance of her ears, you would think she's an elf. However, she is never called an elf at any point in the read. In act 5, Ignys is called a forbidden "fair child" (a term the author never explicitly defines). Given what we see of Furo (another "fair child") at the end of act 6, someone might've taken a human and turned her into Ignys in a lab. If I had to take a wild guess, the human that became Ignys is Ferias. Recall what Fasnam says to Ignys before "dying" in the previous act: "I'll always protect you...Ferias."

We know from act 7 that Ferias is a princess and daughter of Alestia, queen of the destroyed kingdom of Corallion (which is probably named after the goddess Coral). Act 7 might also contain a hint that Ignys is Ferias. Alestia thinks, "Run away...Ferias," and we don't see her daughter's name until Ignys is in the panel. Maybe the author had another rescue arc planned (featuring our main trio rescuing Ignys' mom and foiling Von Selpest's plot to take over the world). Maybe the author also had a war arc planned since "para bellum" is Latin for "prepare for war." We'll never know since this manga got the axe.
