Why isn't this manga popular, lol.
This has a similar crux point of there being a dying message to the one in chapter 29. If we assume that we don't need to have any Japanese script knowledge then we can open this up to a few more interpretations.

There just needs to be an interpretation wherein the dude is not the main suspect. The whole ploy of her feeling threatened by him because one of his old friends who betrayed him assumes that she knew about that incident - perhaps she was the woman the friend was jealous about? Or at least we can tell that she was somehow connected to the whole thing.

My hypothesis is that victim was part of the death of the suspects' old friend, and they probably got caught because of some mistake. So now to free that person caught, the victim had planted all the evidence and written the message to implicate him and free the caught person? But to give up their life for this? That seems highly unlikely.
One thing we know for certain is that the victim knew about the old friend's death - at least that's why the letter is claimed to be written - so then the police probably know some more about this case then they have showed.

Maybe we might get some more info in the next chapter,

Overall tho, I liked the mystery they have put in this chapter.

Yes, sadly this manga aint as popular as we hope, lol.

Also same suspicions here, although I have a strong suspicion that the person that keeps Masayuki up to date on what is happening on the company is the one who did it. Just suspicions, no proof or anything, lol.
