----------------------------------------
There's a twisted and warped sense of sentimentality in moments such as Katsuhiro telling his brother that he will spare him because he was a kind brother. Or to have that blissful panel of the two of them smoking in front of what looked like an ocean to me before telling him that his death will be painless. His two sides, his sentimentality and his pain clashing, almost as if, to him, this is just how it has to be. It’s hard to draw your eyes away from.

The way Katsuhiro planned to make his brother feel the way he felt, as if he could die by the roadside, abandoned by those around him, he aimed his gun and told the others to move away, leaving him to die… Beyond the grossly effective method at doing so, it shines an exemplifying light into the pain Katsuhiro feels inside, this is extreme, but the feeling he is instilling is supposed to parallel his own feelings!

Eventually Morita’s pleas seemed to be somewhat effective, as Katsuhiro said, he was all right dying here, escape is nothing more than a bonus. He did not have a grand scheme in mind. Ensuring that he will help him escape, and that he believes in Katsuhiro’s redemption, Morita made a bold move. By showing belief that Katsuhiro would not shoot him and going out in the open, he asked for the same belief in him. Unfortunately, I cannot blame the other brother for attacking, the plan was to crush his trachea, and it was as if Morita was distracting him for said purpose. Nonetheless it ended up creating the inverse scenario, presumably taking away all of the trust that Morita attempted to foster.

By the way, I don't know how to exactly explain it, however there is something about the panel's where Katsuhiro’s face is completely covered by his helmet; that is to say no visible eyes, which appeals to me. Of course it puts us in the shoes of the characters who can't quite see how Katsuhiro is feeling, but it also makes lines like ‘you were a kind brother once’, or his laughter after hearing Morita’s request resonate with me, it makes them feel all the more ominous.

Also, I have just realized that the disappointment that we didn't get a look into the mind of Aiga is somewhat relieved now, here we have a mass murderer and we are diving into his mind and his feelings. He's not just an obstacle to defeat.
