No, if anything, that curse is a blessing to protect all the good men from the terrible desires of a princess that enjoys abusing her powers, seriously.

The entire court incident shocks me honestly overall, Rovel's father tried to be a good dad, in protecting Rovel from the desires of an evil princess, yet the princess chooses to abuse her political powers to have Rovel's father killed off which is something that will hurt Rovel's conscious.

As for Rovel's brother, I get he hated the princess but he should have REALLY done a better job in avoiding a miserable marriage, seriously. Do NOT drink alcohol to deal with stress, that is a classic trap for evil women to entangle you in an unwanted marriage. This is why I avoid alcohol completely in my life.
