Well it's finally over and what an interesting way to end this season with a wedding of all things. It was a good episode loved that aine and mio both caught the bouquet and my mind was immediately flooded with yuri thoughts also didn't help that hibiki and alicia actually looked like they just got married at the end. I almost teard up seeing kaguya and sakuya split up that was too much for me. Honey cat doing spacekatsu made me laugh cause ema couldn't handle it. Looks like the next season is going to take inspiration from a certain movie (pretty rhythm all star selection) which I'm not sure how I feel about this cause from what they show it looks good but something tells me to keep my expectations to a minimum. The new main character looks ok nothing really special but she will be with aine and mio so hmm.

Now I need to talk about this season a weird mess it was. First off it felt like this season didn't even need to have pure pallet since nothing really changed for them there wasn't a rival, there wasn't any real change (for lack of a better term) for them other than becoming producers.

Everybody else though had amazing development from honey cat aiming towards spacekatsu, reflect moon splitting up to tamaki san getting married. This season had so much character development its insane but then you have things that just didn't really work for me at least. Before that though can I just say it's about time the gimmick used in the second seasons is finally used for something actually pertaining to the story unlike the previous ones where they just drop it halfway through the season.

Ok the things I didn't really like one the lack of wakaba she just felt like an after thought nothing was really done with her which is sad because the fact that she can copy idols just from looking at them could have made for an interesting rival. Karen she was how can I put this gently? Non existent for more than half the episodes and honestly this doesn't bother me much since I prefer mirai but the fact that karen is there and just doea nothing or says very little just makes me question if they should have added her later. I believe... Can't really say much about them other than their story dragged on longer than it should have first it was about hibiki wanted to find out about frienergy so she can become real friends with alicia then it became about alicia not wanting to do aikatsu, followed by the curse placed on solvette and lastly proving that they have what it takes to be friends. What really gets me is that once I believe reunites nothing happens they don't even perform on stage together until much later and they don't even bother trying to compete with karen and mirai even though mirai said that I believe would have beaten them back then even with the power of the aikatsu zone.

Damn I'm tired there's still so much more I can talk about (like how I believe should have viewed pure pallet as their real rivals since they did defeat their rivals or how when pure pallet manages to unlock the true form of the gem dresses that that should have meant that there's still more to the gem dresses than the legends said) but I need to let you guys give your thoughts on this season for me even though it has some issues I'm still giving this a 7/10.

Someone finally made a thread, good didn't want to start off a thread with the negative post I'm about to make.

Probably the Aikatsu season I liked the least so far. Friends was already a pretty weak season to begin with in S1 and Kagayaki no Jewel somehow managed to be worse.

Like the last 8 episodes of S1 it felt like they had no idea what to do after Pure Palette beat Love Me Tear except this time instead of it being for only 8 episode it was for a whole season.

The Hibiki and Alicia subplot seemed interesting at first but afterwords anything involving Solvette or the blizzard was retarded and made Kagayaki no Jewel the worst Aikatsu season since DreAca imo.

Aside from that the cast could not carry the series, this is the first time I can't say I really found any of the characters likeable (maybe Mirai but even then that started diminishing here).

I hope On Parade will be better.

This was...the least exciting Aikatsu finale so far. Easily. Even though I still consider OG S2 worse than this overall, that season's finale was still better.

To be fair, as an episode this was fine. I even laughed at times (and maybe more than I was supposed to). But I just don't care about what they focused on. Tamaki was always around, but she never had that much impact on anything. Hariu...there was a time where I literally forgot who he even was. And the relationship between the two? It's not awful, but it's not anything the show has paid much mind to, and it wasn't fit for the finale. If it had played a few weeks ago, I'd be much less harsh on this episode, but as it is, this was weak.

And unfortunately, this season overall has been Aikatsu's weakest in a long time. I enjoyed the Solvette arc at the beginning, but they didn't ride that momentum at all. I did enjoy the first season of Friends, yet still, this is the only era of Aikatsu that I don't walk away from with a new favorite character. It isn't that I dislike them, but no one grabbed me strongly enough.

I am...worried about Aikatsu on Parade. The character overload looks like it will cause problems.

Well it's the end of AIkatsu friends. It feels like... an okay ep I suppose.

Well see you all for Aikatsu on Parade!

Been a fan of the series from the get go, and had thought that Friends S1 was better than Stars as a whole. That said.... this episode pretty much sums up everything I thought about this season, and the characters introduced: pointless.

I was very bored with this arc. I love the insert song. Wakaba she is so cute but she had very few chapters (Honey Cat too). Everything else bored me, especially the drama of the kingdom and all that thing about Hibiki and Alicia. I had fun and got more excited with the 50 previous chapters. While I watched the last three or four chapters in this arc I noticed that the end was too forced, maybe it's just my idea, but what happened with that about Aikatsu on space?

It's just regular aikatsu training but in zero gravity we see honey cat doing that kind of training in the credits.

Well, I certainly didn't expect the series to end with a wedding haha.

Overall this was a fairly good sequel but compared to the rest of the franchise I can't say I loved it as much as I usually do, the plot was fine and I liked the new chars, I feel that even I got to like Mirai a lot more, but it didn't click to me as the series always does.

7.5/10 from my part, time to see what that ambitious crossover between chars of the franchise has to deliver.

Can't say that I'm surprised by the complaints lol

I personally still loved this season. Definitely the weakest for me, but still had a lot of charm, and I've grown to love the Friends cast too much. The only part of this season that didn't click with me too well was the early episodes at Solvette that centered around bringing back Alicia into Aikatsu. Although I loved the payoff, the time spent there couldn't have been any more dull for a series like Aikatsu. A lot of the charm was lost for me with those episodes.

Friends as a whole has been a wonderful experience though. Just like Stars, I appreciate how different this instalment of Aikatsu is, adding even more gorgeous aesthetic to the Franchise. A bigger cast was sacrificed, as well as more focus on other aspects, but I loved the idea of Friends and enjoyed how the series explored it, even if it got absolutely ridiculous at times lmao

I was close to tearing up a bit at the end of this ep, but I'm beyond hyped af to jump into Parade lol

Ehh. Very bad finale. Easily the worst way to end the show with some random love and wedding crap. The whole thing came out of nowhere.

Anyway, this was still a decent sequel. I think most of the episodes were good enough, and we saw some nice character developments as well, but I would have wanted Wakaba to get a little more screen time and be in a more important role. She was the best character besides Sakuya, Kaguya, and Karen. They were my favorites in the first season as well.

Alicia and Hibiki were both fine, but the Sorbette Kingdom arc was a little boring, even though it had its moments.

This has to be the worst seasons in Aikatsu franchise. They keep dragging on Solvette forever till the last 2 episode. While both of them are likable in any sense, they don't really have any impact other than ruining this season. Wakaba is an interesting character but barely explored and become waste. Other Friends units become less signifcant since the arrival of Hibiki. And out of everything, the worst crime they have just commited is relagation of the main characters. Pure Palette doesn't have any story to tell other than helping Solvette aginst the blizzard with transforming jewelling dress. The dresses itself felt so cheap and barely have any thougts in it and just desperately introduce them. There are significantly less songs and it become apparent that this season songs aren't that good. This has very little stakes for the idols to accomplish and it just a really painful watch ever since the fucking blizzard hit. Overall it's very disappointing sequel and it shouldn't exist.
