Guzma put up a heck of a fight, I was kinda secretly rooting for him to win at the end lol. If only he didn't lose Scizor to the OHKO, or even if he could use a Z-Move for that matter! Guzma's past really hindered him, but I'm glad to see him grow as a person because of that battle. Great fight overall. This League has been really good so far.

So now we're heading to the Finals to determine the first-ever Champion of Alola. Ash vs Gladio. Ash might actually stand a good chance of winning a League this time! I really think Ash needs to get one last fight in with Royal Mask and Incineroar for Torracat's sake, so we may see some history go down after 20 years lol.

Ash makes another final...and for his to lose, this could be Gen where he finally gets it especially since the new anime is supposedly featuring all regions! as the poster above me said and has a very good point, Torracat and Incineroar has history!....i really hope he doesnt choke again

that last shot of Team Skull was actually heartwarming and a good way to send them off. one of the better Teams, aside from Team Rocket, where they not really full-blown bad apples, they really are a breathe of fresh air

The expected happened, but this was one surprisingly moving episode. Guzma has been running away since that day when he left Kukui, and Hala behind. But today, together with Gusokumusha, he decided to go as far as he could, and it was great. The poignant, and beautiful song from the previous ED even played in the background, I loved it. I'm bummed he lost the battle, but he left as a winner in my eyes. The way he lifted Gusokumusha before making him return to his pokeball was beautiful too. Their bond is stronger than ever.

And he thought that his team would stop following him now that he is no longer the "undefeated", but they didn't. They were also moved, and they still want to stay with him, with the one who gave them a place to belong. That last still frame with them running towards the light was beautiful too. Welp, now there's only the final between Satoshi and Gladio left. Satoshi might finally win a league for once...

Easily one of my favorite fights in the entire series! It's really incredible what the team was able to get across in this battle, and that's honestly one of my favorite parts of Pokemon.

The contrast between the previous ED song and the fight synced up surprisingly well too, had me choked up the whole last part of the battle.

I love Guzma

You need to rewatch the episodes & look for UTURN ... you missed out a whole plot that set up Gusokumusha personality. There's story telling from flashbacks & EMOTIONS being passed though facial expression of the Pokemon!!! ITS BEEN SHOWN THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SUN & MOON SERIES

There is a huge chance Ash winning the league for the first time and then fight the professor.

Amazing fight, Guzma's Golisopod was a powerhouse and a tank, withstanding a Thunderbolt and Pikachu's Z-Move too. I also love watching Pikachu go beast mode during these League battles.
And I could actually feel for and relate to Guzma when they showed that the reason he was "undefeated" was because he always ran away if things got too hard.
I'm glad he and Golisopod were able to overcome that and fight till the end.

Now to the finals, Oak, Delia and Mimey are here, Meltan is gonna evolve, and it likely is gonna be a 4v4 battle. I'm hyped. Hopefully Ash will finally win a Pokemon League.

That was such an emotional end to the fight! I really hope this is the turning point for our boy Guzma and Team Skull, really happy for how it ended.

And well, Ash made it to the finals, will this be finally the real deal or will we get cucked once again? C'mon OLM, this Pokemon League isn't even that competitive in terms of size, give us some sweet victory.

aaskldjsafk I really loved how Team Skull ended up. ;A;; They're the lovable at heart type for sure. ;o;;
I just want more Hau than these little reaction faces we've been getting every now and then ever since his loss.

Admittedly, I kinda just want Ash to lose but... I mean look, the guy's been trying hard, so perhaps he really deserves a win, but bwuh. At the same time, I feel like this would kinda be the time to have him win for once. I don't know what the fate of the Pokemon franchise will be from Sword/Shield onward. I mean Game Freak pretty much said Sword/Shield is kinda their break from Pokemon, which I can only assume that means they'll be cutting corners with it. I know they said they're working on other games so they can bring new ideas to Pokemon, but I dunno... to me, it kinda just sounds like they wanna move on.
So, though I want him to lose, I guess I'd say let Ash win now before the passion's gone from the franchise altogether.;;

yes but it makes no sense. Why only one pokémon uturn just puts the pokemon back in the ball. In every other league you can switch out pokemon but in this one you can this was bs so ash can win. Yes it was great character development for Guzman but it's still some bs. Dont say it isnt because then you would be lying.

Hala.
Nyaheat got beat.
Pikachu! Kimi ni kimeta!
Dat Hell Trust got Pikachu in pain.
Dat Mezase Pokemon Master insert.
Jewmanbolto!
Jewmanbolto!
Dat Z-Waza.
Sparking Gigavolto!
Dat insert song.
Gusokumusha got beat.
Satoshi wins.
Skull-dan.
Nyaheat said fuck off.
Meltan.
Who will win? Satoshi or Gladio?
Tsuzuku.

And here we go again. Satoshi is in the finals. After the BS final match that was Kalos, I have no expectations. Satoshi should have won that League. Would be bullshit if Satoshi loses in the epic XYZ series, but wins in this goofy series where battling isn't competitive and is having a League for the first time. The battles in Alola look so easy.

If you see that my post is exactly 1 month old (or more) from when it was posted... Don't waste your time, especially when you want to reply with something petty & insignificant. Assume that I've moved on (because I have).

Seems Guzma learned a valuable lesson at last! - Don't just run away from everything but don't be afraid to take a challenge!

Awesome movement animations (Pikachu sliding on one leg f.e.) and a great battle yet again.
