A case dealing with dreams? Ok then.

It still has the usual bizareness of the story. Not to mention, that hooded creature gives me a weird impression of the episode with its personality. Actually, that little creature behaves a bit like a kid.

Heh, weird episode.

Little brother feeling scary thing, while his older brother on upper bed not feeling it.

Miyu-Miyu's character in trouble and wanting help on document, but needs to take care of a case. Maeno-san's character left the case to himself.

The case is the younger brother seeing the nightmare from the summer break. He has been dozing off at school in the morning.

So there's a meeting with another section? Main guy is popular in another section? Meeting Sakurai-san's character, too.

He and another officer, who helped out in one of the previous cases, offered to help out in that case. Reoccurring? An abandoned building where something scary happens and that boy played hide-and-seek with his friends, who went missing.

A little Another wanting people who enter to play hide-and-seek. "Became friends"? Feeling lonely, huh. He offered to lead it to where there's many people.

Sakurai-san's character immediately deleted it (he's very quick at taking care / another is definite evil, and not trusting main guy for always w. anothers, thinking he's on another's side / spy). He also said main guy is not needed.

White cocoon and blue fire?

Edit: It seems like Yui-chan also voiced the mother of the brothers of the case (She had concert live this past weekend that she only had time to tweet about it the next afternoon), and I didn't notice the voice this time.

Edit 2: I did notice the weirdness of the animation, too.

We have to admit the new "aggresive" officer has a point in regards to not trust 100% Arata and consider that he may have a secret agenda or bad intentions. For example, would you easily trust a single translator to define the foreign policy with a country whose inhabitants speak a language that absolutely no one else can understand?

We have more emphaty towards Arata as we, as show spectators, can hear his conversations with Anothers, but from the point of view of other humans characters it may be understandable as they can't understand the language but they do experience the constant havoc, damage and suffering caused by Anothers.

It's natural to fear the unknown.

On top of that, Arata inviting the ghost-like creature to a place full of human kids doesn't sound like a good idea, does it? Perhaps he should have invited the ghost kid to a place like that big park full of different Anothers so he can find more compatible play buddies who can understand him.

On the other side, killing Anothers on sight no matter what doesn't seem to be a smart strategy either, as you're dealing with the unknown, you never know if you're causing a bigger damage for yourself in the long term. For example, what if a more powerful "mother" of that recently killed Another would come later looking for revenge against humans?

Okay, the animation wasn't exactly great in previous episodes, but this one looks like the total cost of production was 35 bucks.

It's so comically bad i can't even be mad about it

I'm curious, would you share what is it exactly that looks bad to you? The screenshots you posted seem very normal and cool Anime drawings to me.

Interesting case of a demon that "haunts" your dreams, it looked scary at first but then, quite friendly. The fact he got crushed by the other guy did not surprise me, though it was the first time someone clearly acted aggressively toward Arata.

I don't have good things to say about this episode, but I still enjoyed it.

The first thing we saw of the scarred guy was the scar, and we didn't see his face for a while, which was probably foreshadowing that we wouldn't like him. Since I ended up not liking him, guess they didn't disappoint.

The faces were quite expressionless this episode, and the bodies quite weirdly proportioned, which made me more uncomfortable than the scarred guy.

Kanoichi is a prick for incinerating that little cute another, Arata should've fly kicked him. I liked the little dude. If it was me I would've spin kicked him for doing that, I mean the little fella just wanted to play because he was lonely.

I can understand how that new guy thinks but I don't like how he dealt with that Another. It acted like a child that just wanted to play and he killed it without much thought. But the way Kanoichi acts towards Anothers looks to me like some kind of revenge... Maybe because he is the first one to be so agressive towards them.
I wanted Arata to get more angry at Kanoichi and stand his ground.

Oh great some guy with a vendetta, I can understand why there would be people like him in the world, when you can't communicate with the anothers and they do some shitty things, but still I just like the happy peaceful way of solving the issues. Hopefully the main character can help mend his ways.

Oooffff, when that another was suddenly eliminated it made me pretty emotional. I was expecting Miyako to prevent it, but it happened so quickly. I'm assuming he's got some pent up anger against anothers due to the scar on his face.

I do kinda like the points that annoying guy raised about trust, throws an interesting layer onto the series. So far I had been finding this anime rather predictable, but I feel like this episode threw things up a little~ I really enjoyed it ^^

I wish the animation was a bit nicer, but otherwise I'm pretty excited to see where it's going to go from now.

Another day at the Occult job, and a new case: aiding (and healing) a kid of his nightmares due to an Another. And Arata goes in alone, with the Relations team having difficulty on their hands.

Even worse, Arata is chosen as a practice of the different wards to transfer, thankfully all colleagues work in the same area.

The Another of the episode is actually a real treat to behold: the once-filled apartments with people felt the sense of belonging, that is until people left and it forced people into dreams. Thankfully Arata managed to coerce it into understanding with his Ears of Sand.

Wow that got sudden immediately with Kanoichi eliminating the Another right in his eyes. What disgust, but probably due to his experiences (the scar on his eye). People work differently after all, and the thought of Anothers being "friends" is quite an optimistic view, but if taken illiterately a.k.a Kohaku / Huehuecoyotl, it becomes a curse.

Good episode explaining the conflicts between the various regions and their way of work, and definitely raises Arata's thoughts, even if his way of work gives the benefit of doubt to the Anothers.

Agreed. I don't want to share any screenshots because I'm lazy as fuck but there was a scene where the guy with the scar (forgot his name already) had huge-ass eyes that took almost one to two thirds of his face and I was like tsk tsk tsk.

Anyways, scarface made me hate him so much after that last scene. That poor Another was willing to change and was hoping to make new friends, even thought of scarface as his friend before he eradicated the poor thing.

Let's hope in the next episode, there's still a way to get that Another back so that he can be friends with the other Anothers.
