| i dont think ill ever stop being confused about being embarrassed when called by your first name or without honorifics. also you sometimes see "since when were you so close that you call each other by your first names" in anime and manga and always my immediate thought is "why wouldnt she? its her name?" even america confuses me since if i understood right they call their teachers "miss/mister last name" when here in finland no matter who you are talking to its always the first name (or a nickname) unless you know two people with the same first name then you might call the other with their last name. the president is usually called by first and last name. very rarely only one of those but then its most often the last name. |
