Got to see Hinomaru vs Chihiro this episode, nice.

They're really not wasting any time when it comes to the action this season. Outside of the fighting ring, I guess there's some mind games going on between the other competitors.

Also got to see a showdown between Hinomaru and Shinya which was very intense.

Great episode.

The manliness and intensity was off the charts here in both of Ushio's matches.

Nationals time, but I guess there's probably gonna be a training arc or something before that.

Reina was so adorable in the post credits scene. <3

The hype train continues. This was awesome. Loved the quick pacing of the matches and the raw intensity behind them. Hinomaru looked like a legit beast out there.

Kunisaki and Ozeki should've known they are messing with a beast in Ushio. That guy is really awesome, to beat them both after having such an intense bout with Mizuki and that arm was a handicap for them but no he wouldn't let up. This writer is good, because he showed how really hungry Ushio to be yokozuna. He isn't like writers like Oda of One piece who make characters like Luffy to go forth and back, make up your mind about your characters are they hungry or playing.

Great episode, I'm really looking forward to his progress.

That final match was pretty awesome

The bouts are still great to watch, nice effort from Ozeki, but Hinomaru should win the whole thing easily.

I just noticed its gonna be 24 eps, can't wait for the nationals, that ED has me hyped up for it.

What a great episode this was. I really liked it.

The final match was incredibly intense, probably my favorite one so far. The sportsmanship both Ushio and Ozeki showed was nice and although I was hoping for Ozeki to win, I'm glad they both gave their everything in the ring, total beasts for sure.

And not to mention that the fight Kunisaki gave in his respective match was great as well. His capacity to learn new moves that fast is just impressive.

So, it seems the next episode will be like a "break" after this tournament. I'm ok with that since it will probably work as a build-up ep. for the Nationals. Looking forward to it.

And also, LOL at the post credits scene xD Reina is rather adorable, being honest.

I wish this series was already out so I could watch all the episodes at once.

I recently binged all 124 + 2 episodes of Yawara, which makes for an interesting comparison to Hinomaruzumou. Both are about traditional Japanese martial arts (Judo, Sumo), both are "realistic" in terms of being about more believable types of sports fighting (as opposed to Naruto-style supernatural fighting). Of course Yawara deals a lot with femininity in sports vs this show's focus on masculinity.

I need to find another series like this. I watched a couple episodes of Kenichi, and it's OK but it's cartoonish by comparison. "Osu!! Karate-bu" was interesting but not really that good. Megalo Box had a great style but the story was kind of bland. Still looking...
...but then again, I unironically like Warau Salesman.

That was a good bout, glad Ozeki realized what was going on and started going all out.

But I wonder how bad Hinomaru's arm is.

Damn, Ozeki almost beat Hinomaru! It was very close, and both were satisfied with the intensity they experienced.

Hopefully, Hinomaru's arm isn't too serious, and will heal soon.

Looks like the big fight of this episode wasn't Ushio vs Chihiro but Ushio vs Ozeki
Ushio is incredibly strong for such a short guy, managing to push Ozeki out of the ring with sheer power
