| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- So the man that approached Erin was supposed to get married with Soyon, but it didn't happen because she fell in love with Erin's father. He decided to talk to Erin after seeing her fly with Lilan, and he even thought about killing them in order to prevent a tragedy, but since the mist folk swore to not take a life if it isn't in order to eat, he decided to talk to her, and pray she would make the "right decision", but he just arbitrarily told her that talking to Lilan is a sin, and didn't explain why it is regarded like this. He was being really unreasonable, talking about some really big tragedy, but remaining vague about it, and just expecting Erin to stop talking, and flying with Lilan because his precepts say so. Erin did learn some stuff here, like that talking with the beasts is considered a "Player Skill", that this is what her mom did back then with the Touda, and that this is a sin, but since it is so because of some tragedy from a far away past, Erin doesn't think she's doing anything wrong as long as she doesn't get involved with anything big, and she decides that she won't bind Lilan to the ground as she wonder if her mom threw away a future with her because of those precepts. It's also interesting the way that the man told her about the spirits, about how terrifying it was for him to realize that even though his people have been guarding the known player skills from the past, there is still the possibility that someone is going to create a new one just like Erin did. But well, since it was way too arbitrary, and she doesn't want to confine Lilan to a cage, she decided to let this go, and told Esal that she was able to fly, and so began her training to master it, which went pretty smoothly since she can talk with Lilan, and finally, the first Beast-Lord kept by humans that can fly is born into this kingdom. |
