| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was an impressive episode. I really like the themes this show is tackling. Toumiyakkos death made me sad,it's such a shame. It could've been prevented when one would consider to broaden his horizon instead of showing false pride in his prestige and traditions. That's not the right attitude for a doctor,helping others should come firsr. |

| For now the show seems to focus more on the doctor and this episode really did a good job of showcasing how individual people can suffer the consequences of stubborn ideological conflicts. Her deat really was a tragedy, but I'm sure Ryouan will gain resolve form this to not let it happen again in the future on his watch. On the Manjirou side we see a small glimpse into his ideology and my guess is that his side will take a more direct route to participate in the political conflicts to come. He definitely doesn't seem to like the way things are going. |

| RIP Toumiyakko, she wouldn't have died if western medicine was forbidden, Ryouan was skilled enough and above all if that incompetent 'doctor' would just swallow his shitty pride by admitting it wasn't his damn tapeworms but appendicitis |
