THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Finally, this show concluded after the dry story and boring characters.

It ended in the way I kinda imagined it to be with everything being settled but not without pain and suffering. Very forgettable show.

So both Hibiki and Shin died in the fire? Shiori and the other guys manage to escape and survive (after the ending credits she wake up).

Anyway wasn't so bad as a story and as an original ending, the only thing that was subpar were the animations, very bad and unprofessional.

Overall is an average show with at least a resolutive ending, 4/5.

As bad as everything was, it was quite enjoyable series especially after Hibiki changed(before not so much), It was nice to end it with Hibiki and Shin smiling at each other, felt like they accomplished something.

Evil or Live 6.06 rating and Ousama Game 5.14 rating makes you really think watch those shows or not. I guess one time to watch it is enough for those two shows if you go by all the how bad it is comments.

That was pretty ok. Still really goofy but a lot more serious than it was at the beginning.
I'm glad they shoehorned in an ending. No sequels allowed.
Pretty ok for a low budget Haoliners show... I'm finding I like more and more of their stuff even if it's not technically impressive. I guess I'm getting used to lowering my expectations. 6/10

I agree that the premise was interesting, but I still felt like the ending left a lot of stuff open and it seems pretty clear that it will not get a sequel or 2nd season. I think a single OVA would be needed though.

The Shiori story went absolutely nowhere after last week's episode. No justice for the pedophile rapist.

This series was a hot mess. It was so bad I actually finished it. I don't understand how such a crap-tastic series got me to watch it every week. I may need counseling.

Started at 4/10.

Ended with 1/10.

Two things bothered me in this show: your carelessness in few moments. The dubbing doesn't follow the movement of the mouths was something that is not apologized for the simple low budget.

The second thing was his lack of direction. The anime has a serious theme and follows most of it like that. But, suddenly, it changes and put comedy scenes, sometimes with chibis, that do not match with your proposal at all.

I'm glad they went with a filler ending to make sure we don't have to endure another season of this.

It wasn't nearly edgy or trashy enough to make up for how poorly written and produced it was.

I felt like most of the scenes were rushed or missing parts and could do with a ova or second season to slowly explain in more detail.

Shiori gets raped before thrown into the cell? Was the flashback that takes places when she was raped and locked in the cell?

If those guys knows that Hibiki planned to die (the guy and the two girls with Shiori in the clinic), I don't think they'll be that okay with it, like the guy is saying "okay Hibiki we done our part, go kill yourself" lol but yeah that ending basically implies Shin and Hibiki's death but we also know those two are smart plus the police is coming and they're on the rooftop in open air so I think they'll be fine tbh

The real question is wtf happen to Jun, and that thing with Shiori, she's offering her a deal and they're both... Something missing in that timeskip, Shiori end up in a cell all of a sudden and Jun was gone smfh and she's the most interesting character in there too. Bad execution, they didn't do her character justice, Jun is the only interesting character with the most potential in there

This anime already deviated from the source material with the introduction of Hyo. In the manga, Hyo was introduced as an overaged student, not a trainer. Check chapter 66 of the manga

Don't think so, she get beaten hard and lose lot of blood, infact in the infirmary she geat treated with 2 bags of blood. But they ommitted several part here to fit everything in 22 minutes.

According to Hyo when he speak with their accomplices seems Jun get killed and disposed, Shiori didn't solve anything but she wake up at the end of the episode so it implie that she will achieve his revenge now that he is save and the school closed, but was a whole mess, as @Koja6049 said, the anime heavy deviate and ommitted several parts, so yea if you want to know what's going on you have to read the web manhua (actually is at chapter 166 and the anime stop around chapter 60 so you can guess how much they skip and changed).

Since is an original ending this mean no second season, classic anime to promote the manhua i guess.

Glad Evil or Live went the BL route, precious Hibiki doing all of that for his Shin, the only one to make him genuinely smile.

Wish I could read the source.

I'm surprised that I watched Evil or Live until the end. I found the premise crazy and stupid, anyway... It was worth it, this ending was interesting, but sudden. The great amount of information in this last episode, besides the lack of explanation of what happens later, was boring. But incredibly, I wanted more...

If I understand correctly, the plan orchestrated by Shin and carried out by Hibiki and co. is like this: collect phones with evidence of illegal practice in the school -> girls escape through sewers and post evidence online -> reporters gather in front of the school but are prevented from entering -> Shin sets the fire -> the school has to let fire trucks in thus cannot stop the reporters from entering -> reporters witness abuse in another building -> the scandal gets too much publicity to be suppressed or covered up.

Schools like this exist because: (1) ignorant parents (2) it flies under the radar of the public and law enforcement at large (3) it's backed by people with power or connections (in this case, Shin's brother).

When Shin saw the fire trucks coming, he knew his plan worked. He successfully implicated his brother and avenged his mother. To achieve this goal, he manipulated Hibiki and others. In the end, all was understood and forgiven.

"Avenged his mother"? How did she die?
Why did Shin have to be a tyrant to get evidence through cell phones?

She's poisoned by Shin's half brother. I suspect Shin's sickness has something to do with it, too.

Presumably to motivate Hibiki to become the student head, so he has the ability to mobilize the students.
I'm not sure. The story is too convoluted.

Maybe Shin's plan was to make an enemy out of everyone to encourage them to stand up to the school...
But why did he start with Hibiki, who came WAY later before Shin did?

My guess is that Shin saw in Hibiki's profile that he's an ex-athlete, so he chose him to carry out his plan.
Also I suspect head instructor Shian was in the plan with Shin from the very beginning. He questioned Shin's choice at first but later accepted Hibiki. Being an ex-cop, I don't think he can tolerate drug smuggling in the school after he found out. On the other hand, he's also a man who believes in corporal punishment as a method to straighten the kids up.

I doubt that. Being a former athlete is a useful skill, but doesn't do much in the way of trying to take over a school. Maybe Shin was just waiting for someone that would have the guts? But there'd have to be plenty of kids with guts, considering their situation.

Okay, is this anime supposed to be this vague for us to actually be trying to come up with theories?

I don't think it's good from a storytelling perspective.
But I'm surprised that this anime even exists. Media from China is usually very tame because of censorship. This one, apart from implying corrupted people in power, drug trafficking, incompetent police, also not so subtly encourages rebellion against oppression by playing the Internationale. Those are usually taboo topics.

What puzzle me is that did Shin planned everything would go down as it went, judging by those tears and that smile. I am still confused, was Hibiki going to save him or kick his ass or they were still in cahoots ( I guess I will never know), oh well such is life.

About the whole show it was okay for me despite the bashing of it, it had that strange depiction on how violence can solve a person's addiction ( which is a lie). I guess the writer really hated internet addicts or game addicts. The plot was not standard but in the end kinda was okay for me. Although I strongly despised the protagonist Hibiki and I was always on shin's side.

A lenient 6/10 from me.

Was this anime good? No but it was still worth the watch. the characters may suck but if I add some imagination to it like a extended timeline where everyone had been there for years they makes sense and makes the story good but it still has the other flaws.

What I don't understand is why didn't Shin do the whole thing himself to begin with?
He's a cocky son of a bitch. There were obviously more students willing to rebel. What was it about Hibiki that made him go, "Yeah. He's the one who'll end it all"?

What I don't get is... well anything, it had some logic then hibiki was put in a hole for a week or whatever, became a bad ass, then at the same time shin disapeared, then Shian was in on it or something, there was the, as far as I can tell irrelevant, fat guy who shows up in two scenes in the entire show, then that girl hibiki likes gets arrested and whatnot and... did she get injured in some way, she was kinda roughed up in the cell but not blood transfusion fucked up.

This was obviously made by people that know what the story is about and just assumed everyone else knew too.

I tried to like this show. I realy did.
