Thought we were going to get a flashback episode to Sayaka's 10-month training, but in the end Yawara still won rather easily. Did make me realize I wanted Yawara to lose.

Yawara fighting Tohdoh wouldn't be very interesting.

Hahahaha, lame Sayaka lost again, I hope we won't see her again.
I don't even care anymore about Fujiko's match.

Sayaka, it's useless. Yawara is simply monster! MONSTER!

Well the long awaited rematch between our lovely heroine and the insufferable heiress finally arrives and its exhilarating conclusion left me cheering long and loud just like the first memorable matchup did long ago at around episode 20. While the 1st matchup will always be my fav episode for how abrupt and immense Yawara's victory over Sayaka was, this one had me nearly enthralled simply due to the overwhelming animosity that shrill heiress for our heroine creates such an uneasy and uncomfortable atmosphere that it forces us at home to pull and pray for her to find a way to win to maintain a sense of decency and reason to the established environment. Of course, what makes Yawara so awesome of a heroine is how she never panics and in Bugs Bunny fashion calmly and nonchalantly figures out the flaw in the Daffy Sayaka "secret move" and quickly cooks up an improvised Ippon on the fly. Simply magnificent job by Yawara and the writers/director of course, for delivering a satisfying climax to the big build up to this rematch.

And extra kudos for the keeping the running gag of the fake tooth alive as it feels so good to see how despite all the bravado and superficial beauty Sayaka is truly an ugly hag with no class and an demeanor worse than a rabid raccoon. Eagerly anticipating the inevitable matchup of Fujiko and Yawara that seems meant to be and the beauty of that fight is I can be happy whomever wins because I love and respect both of those judo ladies.
