Argh i'll be disappointed if Takato wins just because he won the popularity poll and is more popular than Hayata to the readers. But then again this whole manga is disappointing, so might as well as add more disappointment to finish it off.

When I said Takato is too popular amongst japanese readers, it was actually an understatement. Takato received almost two and a half times the votes received by Hayata and more than twice the votes received by Nanoka. Basically he got almost half the votes of all the characters (I mean all i.e their friends, senpai etc.) in the manga combined in the latest poll (2017) conducted on readers of Margaret prior to the release of the latest volume.

With only 4-5 chapters left of this manga, and with the timing of this chapter (with that sudden dramatic ending) means that Hayata will probably be given one more chance. But my assumption is it will swing back to Takato in the final chapter. I had my eyes rolling when I learned the moment Nanoka reciprocating Takato's feelings for her received the most number of votes by the readers as the most favourite moment from the manga.

Good thing for me is that I read this manga for fun. I don't really care about the characters. But if I had to choose between Hayata and Takato for Nanoka, I would pick the latter because apples and oranges shouldn't be put in the same basket.
