| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Kao has fallen in love! In the first chapter, too. Pretty promising start even though Kao is your typical shoujo heroine, struggling to become a person worthy of other's attention and struggling to find love. Kuze is also your typical shoujo hero, cool, handsome and has girls flocking around him. The other characters, like Kao's brother and Kiryuu-senpai all look decent characters (except for that guy who rejected Kao's confession back in middle school and appears again midway through the chapter). I am actually sucker for prettily drawn shoujo manga so if the story is half decent or somewhat interesting such as this one, I usually board the train. So, I am looking forward to read more of it. :) |

| Mitsui Haruka's artwork is always so beautiful. The selling point to the manga is definitely the art, and the characters. I like Kao, she might be a typical shoujo heroine, but she got character in her. She spent time looking in the trash for Kuze-kun's thrown volleyball shoes, not because she wanted to quit being manager, but because she saw that he still wanted to play volleyball. She only wanted to quit because unlike him, she was unable to have a youth like him, where no one cared about her. Because of this, Kuze is able to understand that she's not like the other girls and decides to join the club in return for her continuing to be the manager. With this, she will experience her youth. |
