| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Nice start, frames (dolls) disease but if it's controlled can lead to great power, looks like a guyver suit XD Almost everyone dies to the sudden empire attack :( The art is simple lines with more white>black contrast but it matches well to the white cold atmosphere it has going. |

| I like how the setting is still in the same good old Nihei universe, since Apoismz was already named in Knight of Sidonia. The Black Period of Nihei seems to be over. The very same Knight of Sidonia was an intermediate state, with shadowy panels but also white ones. This "Land of Dolls" appears to open the White Period of the author. Also, it was fun to find all Nihei cliches. Still, no bear found :/ |

| Chapter 1 was quite good overall, however there's one part that vexes me deeply. It already looks like an ordinary shounen-manga with a typical protagonist-vs-antagonist approach and early signs of "my attacks are stronger than yours" nonsense (a couple of pages as an example under the spoiler tag). At this point I'm not even sure what to expect from the next chapter. |

| This was one of my favourite opening chapters ever for a Shounen Manga. Etherow already looks like a great character to me. I was hoping he'd be the protagonist when we initially saw the 4 of them travelling together. Would be nice if Boki survived too. |
