| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Creepy episode. I felt bad for Queen although it was Hachi's body that got taken over by that Egypt creep. Surprisingly, Phoenix worked well together with Joker this episode. Not bad. |

| This was a somewhat interesting episode, but I got a "more of the same" feeling from it. A number of the jokes/comedic moments have been used before (I noticed that in the last episode, too). Also, the pharaoh in this episode reminded me of Aladdin from last season, with his obsession with eternal life as he is on the verge of death. The funniest part was the beginning scene. I read the manga chapter this episode is based off recently, and it is surprisingly similar (which isn't a bad thing, since it was a decent chapter.) The trick is different, but based off a similar principle. I prefer the anime's changes. Queen’s outfit is very flattering, too. What interested me the most was the scene where the pharaoh tries to put the mask on Queen and Akai just stands there amused and watches without doing anything. Queen’s distress doesn’t faze him at all. I find his limited/lack of empathy one of his most interesting qualities, especially since it’s rare to see characters like that who aren’t villains. |
