For some reason, I thought this series...felt kind of lonely? A rather lonely adventure but still an interesting one somewhat. Tokiko is a character that I definitely like to know more about.

I was listening to celtic music while reading the first chapter, and I think this affects my opinion of it a bit. I love it so far. I'm really looking forward to continuing this. The art style is refreshing. The setting is gorgeous. (I love towns with beaches and such.)

I agree in that the tone gives a sort of isolated/loney feeling. The MC is pretty lowkey and introverted (probably).

I have hopes hopes for this manga. (I'm really attracted to the art and the mermaid thing.)

I went ahead and picked this up because of the "Midsummer Mermaids" Challenge going on right now. I picked this because it was only one of two series that art stood out to me. The other being Coral: Tenohira no Umi, but it doesn't seem like that one is fully translated. So my focus will be this series.

I really like the art, and after one chapter it's done a good job of building the atmosphere and foreshadowing what appears to be some potentially darker themes. Should be a fairly interesting read.
