| It started off with Kago rambling on about wanting to make more inclusive works to no avail then it showed his particularly unsettling collecting habit. His resolve to make less niche content was strengthening but Ms. Editor is well aware of his best talents. It's nice to see her be so supportive of his forte. At first I thought it was pretty out of place but him being a literal character in his own story, not as a projection but himself is a very interesting idea. That very mystery story that was slightly more inclusive was the story we're reading itself~ |

| This was quite brilliant and gave a lot of context to the story thus far as well. I had no idea 'ero-guro' had a term. Here, the artist struggles with his niche work and is also creating manga using this style. I'm wondering where his obscure collectibles come in. Perhaps how a serial killer collects trophies or victims? Juxtaposing his collection with something more gruesome makes the gruesome part a run-of-the-mill type thing, the same way manga is mass produced and marketed. Fascinating as well how he ties the story into the story of his life as an artist. |
