That kind of thing has been happening lately in the capitol." Wow, I feel sorry for the miners... I really like the spotlight on the sexism with Malta. There is waaay too much opportunity for abuse in a system where a bunch of guards enforce labor on women (and young girls). Aaand fuck, I was right. Women are raped or end up with child after seeking comfort or after affairs, and their babies die from lack of care and get buried in unmarked graves. Or in this case, buried alive. Lmao at Wolfram leaning on a cactus. I've liked his and Conrad's interactions in the last few chapters. And Conrad telling Wolfram that nothing would happen with Gwendal and Yuuri because basically Yuuri's naive haha. It's not really that he's naive here so much as eloping or marriage are so far out of his current reality that it's ridiculous to even consider. He considers himself far too young and full of things to do before he'd even consider that, much less a relationship. He has too much going on to handle a proper one. But I sure like the idea. I think he'd be able to handle it once he gets used to Shin Makoku some more, but it really needs to be low-maintenance - aka the other partner has to have a lot of autonomy. Conrad said he was a fan of Yuuri's since before he was born, but is it because he knew he would turn out to be really kind because of Yuuri's soul, or he just felt Yuuri's destiny? I know at least in the anime Conrad says that who's soul someone has doesn't matter, he loves Yuuri for Yuuri, but. D'aww Conrad holding baby Wolf. If Hube hadn't done what he did, Conrad and Julia would have what?? |
